Whoopi Goldberg has a children's show. It has a message board. Do they need to hear from you? I report, you decide.
A drunk swinging a wine bottle who uses foul language has a kid's show?
WTF, AR
That's interesting. I do not mean to be standoffish, but i do not know how much cedit i fould give "Family psychologist John Rosemond " in his very non-scientific study. He's a psychologist, and having been to several each with myriad kooky ideas about what ails society, i am just not sure i buy the flicker thing and all that he connects to it.
As for ADD and ADHD, i have not-by-choice become very well informed. On this issue, i very strongly beleive that TV has nothing to do with it, it is a chemical imbalance within a person, and has very little to do with outside societal influences.
I commend you in your convictions, however i know properly chosen and moderated television is beneficial for children. I have 4 results at home.
and click on "Blab" in the page menu. You'll get a link to write them.
We do allow our children to watch tv. They mostly play and read and play some more. A few of them read most of the time, and that worries me because they need to get out more and play. We went to the library the other day, and a few of them chose a bunch of books to read, and they checked out some music CDs, and one of them checked out four audio books. They did this all on their own because I do not push them to read at all. (well, maybe when they were younger, I read to them a lot, and they learned to love reading.) I can hear our television running now, but no one is watching it. It is rather boring.
PABAAH material
Warning: "Parody pic" - not very nice .. Marines Express THEIR opinion of Whoopi!
:~)
The firing of Whoopi Goldberg by SlimFast, along with the cancellation of her racially offensive TV show, is further indication that the mainstream American public has had enough of the hate and spite coming out of Hollywood. These selfish and out of touch celebrities, who have benefited so much from the opportunities afforded them by this great country, continue to bite the hand that feeds them by bashing our country and our president during a time of war. Will celebrities learn a valuable lesson from this latest episode? Only time will tell. However, companies looking for pitchmen to hawk their products must be more responsible in who they choose. Finally, they have begun to realize that the American public will no longer support companies who employ America-bashing celebrities. Capitalism and the free market at work.
Good Bye Whoopi!
BTW, Scarborough Country called, wanted me to be on the show tonmite to discuss...alas, no studios available on such short notice...
Now, time to contact Nick...thx for the ehads up. ;)
>>Nick and Nick Jr. are deprogrammed from our DirecTV channel lists; our 4-year-old has never seen either channel.
Thats the ONLY way to go. I believe these channels are VIACOM, and they just dont give a $hit. They're as exteme liberal as it comes. We can only hurt them in the pocketbook a bit
by driving off a few of their sponsors.
hahahahaha ! :^D
No, you are NOT the only one, as a matter of fact the majority of parents in the USA reject the public vulgarity of Whoopi Goldberg! Her public comments disguised as 'entertainment', resulted is her being publicly disassociated by a large company whose customers were so disgusted by her behavior that the company they threatened a boycott. Nick Jr. will suffer the same wrath unless they do the same. This person, Whoopi Goldberg, has NO BUSINESS around ANYTHING to do with children!

Again, today, I used the easy link at #15 to send them my opinion of Whoopi's unacceptable behavior.
I plan to continue to pressure them.
doug-from-upland,
Heard you on Hugh Hewitt last night--great!--you do get around...loved the "yellow-cake" idea.
Bump...
