We enjoyed your products. They have made a great contribution to health and a healthy lifestyle.

However we cannot abide your TV spokesperson Whoopie Goldberg and her crude, vulgar, hate filled rhetoric against our President. As long as Whoopi is a spokesperson for your products we will elect to use products from other companies such as Carbsmart, etc..

Continue to support this lightning rod and her hatefilled rhetoric as you lose corporate profits.

As long as slimfast continues to employee Whoopi Goldberg as their spokesperson, I'm afraid I will have to search for another product. Her actions on behalf of the democratic party were unnecessary and repulsive. How low will she go. To quote her, "If you didn't want me to act this way, then why did you invite ME?" My response: I don't know why they invited you. I have no idea. The fact is that if she is invited anywhere else, I'll be sure NOT to be there. That was juvenile and stupid. I don't have time for dramatic infantile displays of ignorance and crudity. Especially in the name of America.

I wrote to them already. I just read the email a friend of mine sent--she added something I wish I'd thought to include:

"I no longer have an appetite for SlimFast. Every time I look at something with the SlimFast logo on it, I think of what Whoopi Goldberg said and I feel nauseous."

that's funny, because i said something very similar:

"Her actions were cheap and unintelligent. Seeing and hearing Ms. Goldberg promote your products now bring a sickening wave over me."

I just called and spoke with someone (MaryAnn) in their consumer division. I pressed O for operator, then asked for the complaint department. I wanted my call to reach the correct person. First, my husband calmly spoke his piece, gave his name. Then I took the phone and told them to log this as two complaints. I told her that Whoopi's remarks about our President were obscene and vulgar. She told me that they are reviewing the situation and are taking it quite seriously. She said that they were "in discussions" even before Whoopi's rant.

She was searching for a word...she said, "They were in discussions even before her...ummm??". I said, "How about her anti-American obscene tirade against our President during a time of war...is that close enough?" She meakly said, "Yes".

She told me there is a contract involved, and I said there must be a morality clause in her contract, and what she did was immoral. I told her that I really like their product, especially their lunch bars, but I really won't buy them as long as her disgusting mug is pitching them. Yep, I said that.

I told her I'm sorry if I came on strong and that I realize it's not her fault. I asked her if she thought Whoppi was wrong, and I got the standard, "Slim-fast does not share her beliefs". I said then they had better distance themselves from that poison called Whoopi, and the sooner the better. They have a wholesome image that's about to crumble. There was more, but that's all I can think of for now. I give myself an A+.

I just sent this to SlimFast via their website:

I am appalled at the conduct exemplified by Ms Goldberg. That you would condone her political agenda which is clearly Anti-American by allowing her to remain a spokesperson for your products is disappointing. I'm one of the dedicated diet folks for whom a sensible regimen and suplements has resulted in a forty pound weight loss over 18 months. I enjoy the slim fast bars and at times the shakes. But I will never again purchase your product or recommend it to others so long as you support this person. You have a clear right to support Ms Goldberg. I will exercise my right to protest your choice in economic terms. They have just sent me an acknowledgment e-mail. Now let's see if they respond to my content.
