We enjoyed your products. They have made a great contribution to health and a healthy lifestyle.
However we cannot abide your TV spokesperson Whoopie Goldberg and her crude, vulgar, hate filled rhetoric against our President. As long as Whoopi is a spokesperson for your products we will elect to use products from other companies such as Carbsmart, etc..
Continue to support this lightning rod and her hatefilled rhetoric as you lose corporate profits.
Goodbye!
Email sent in the line of duty:~)
sent mine also.
I faxed my response thanks to you providing the number. I believe hard copies come closer to being read and it just takes a minute to send.
Count me in. I have sent a letter as well.

Excellent!
I sent my email Saturday. Got a standard auto-response that promises they will personally address any issues. We'll see.
Me too. I won't hold my breath. If they do respond, it will still be some sort of form letter to all of us. I called one of the numbers for Unilever and an option was for name search. I searched "Smith" and got connected to some woman's voice mail--she got an earful. She's in the mail room for all I know! LOL!
Carolyn
Bump for the link and for the thread.
A Big Bump to that. I just sent in one also.
I just received a phone call from a Slimfast rep. She said Unilever is referring all correspondence about Whoopi/Slimfast to them and they are then forwarding everything to the marketing dept. The marketing dept is deciding what to do but she wanted to let me know that they weren't ignoring my concerns. She added that she was appalled by Whoopi's "comedy" as well. While I thought they would eventually respond with a form letter and some coupons, I am stunned that they responded so quickly and it sounds like they're serious. I'm hopeful.
Topic: Whoopie
Your "spokesperson's" comments might have been her own, but HALF the country disagrees with her. Congratulations on alienating half of your potential customers.
Bye!
This is what I wrote:
What were you guys thinking when you decided to use Whoopi Goldberg as your spokesperson? I don't know of anyone who wants to look like her. The woman is annoying. I don't even have to buy your product, all I have to do is think about your product and Whoopi's face pops into my head and I lose my lunch.
ROFLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!! That was hilarious!
(My apologies to Kevin for having a good laugh at his typo.)

Just sent to Slime-Fest via your link:
To Whom it May Concern:
I am a Lifetime member of Weight Watchers and I have previously used (and enjoyed) your Slim-Fast products in the past. No more.
I was never keen on having Whoopi Goldberg as your spokesperson knowing her vulgar attempts at comedy.
The latest news making the circuit describing her obscene references to President Bush at a Democratic Fund Raiser has made me decide that your product is no longer one that I will support.
How any public entity would purposely put a low-life up front as their mouthpiece and expect sales to flourish is beyond me. Now, when I see her face and associate it with your product, I will have nothing but a negative reaction and the refusal to spend my hard earned money to support such a travesty.
Your sidebar states "Tell a friend." I will spread this message far and wide advising people to avoid purchasing anything associated with Slim-Fast and Ms. Goldberg.
Sincerely,
XXXXX
