Angelwood just called. The DC Chapter is back in action, this time FReeping Clinton at his book signing on Nebraska Ave in DC.
Present are Angelwood, BillF, BufordP (and brother), Jimmy Valentine's brother, and tgslTakoma as well as about 15 well-mannered, well-dressed young people from the Campus Leadership Institute.

Second Report: BillF has called in. He says a police woman has ordered the FReepers about 150 feet away from the front of the bookstore. The police are squeezing the FReepers and our new allies, about fifteen college students from the Campus Leadership Institute, into a small area so they “won’t block the sidewalk.” BillF pointed out to the police office that the thousand or so people in line for the bookstore have so blocked the sidewalk that people have to walk in the street (and Nebraska is a busy street!) to get past them. The police officer indicated that is not her area to worry about.
Press: The FReepers have thus far been interviewed by UPI, AP, and Scrips-Howard. Channel 9 (CBS) has a film crew, but no interviews on our side.

Third Report: Anglewood reports the police woman has warned our crowd that if they leave the small sidewalk area she has assigned to them they are “out a there.” So our FReepers are a couple doors down, and behind the press and a trash can. It is a hot, sunny day in the District, and the FReepers brought water. There is a little shade available.
BillF reports the Campus Leadership Institute has their own video camera running. One of their members is dressed like Monica, one like Clinton, and a third like Saddam, and they are having fn hamming it up, posing for the passersby. The “Clinton” thanks them for buying his book, “Monica” hangs on to his side, and “Saddam” thanks the crowd for supporting his friend Clinton. BillF reports one woman bought the book then came over to have her picture taken with these three!
One Campus Leadership Institute chant I could hear:
“Legacy of Lies
Legacy of Neglect
This is Bill Clinton
We have No Respect.”
What, and no Doctor Raul?

A recon group from the DC Chapter has scoped out the Barnes and Noble location for Wednesday's Clinton booksigning.
There were about 150 Clinton groupies already lined up outside. They will stay all night and, at 8 a.m. in the morning, they will get numbered tickets/bracelets issued to them. The first 1,000 in line get these tickets. They then have to leave the scene and reassemble, in order, at Noon to wait four more hours until their idol arrives to begin signing books.
And we already know that Bill Clinton will be LATE!
