Thank you for the instrumental version, too. My daughter may be interested. She's singing "God Bless the USA" in church tomorrow.

"That song is awesome! (I'm listening to it again! Did you write it?)"
No, I just found an old cassette tape in our music room at church. One of those old ones that needed some "scotch tape" repair, so I burned it to CD to keep it from ending up in the trash bin. I have no info on the composer or artist. Sorry.
"Thank you for the instrumental version, too. My daughter may be interested. She's singing "God Bless the USA" in church tomorrow."
I hope she can use it sometime. It is great for Patriotic services like Memorial Day, Veterans Day, the 4th of July and when a church member is either shipping out or being welcomed home from active duty.
Thanks again to everyone for the warm welcome!

In Loving Memory of "Bruddah Iz" (May 20, 1959 - June 26, 1997)
Zichrono Livracha (May his memory be a blessing) From the Movie "Meet Joe Black"
(OK this one's for Gabby)
Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high
And the dreams that you dreamed of
Once in a lullaby
Oh Somewhere over the rainbow
Blue birds fly
And the dreams that you dreamed of
Dreams really do come true
Someday I'll wish upon a star
Wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where trouble melts like lemon drops
High above the chimney tops thats where you'll find me oh
Somewhere over the rainbow bluebirds fly
And the dream that you dare to, why, oh why can't I? Why?
Well I see trees of green and
Red roses too,
I'll watch them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world
Well I see skies of blue and I see clouds of white
And the brightness of day
I like the dark and I think to myself
What a wonderful world
The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people passing by
I see friends shaking hands
Saying, 'How do you do?'
They're really saying, I...I love you
I hear babies cry and I watch them grow,
They'll learn much more
Than we'll know
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world.
Someday I'll wish upon a star,
Wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where trouble melts like lemon drops
High above the chimney top that's where you'll find me
Oh, Somewhere over the rainbow way up high
And the dream that you dare to, why, oh why can't I?
