MIRANSHAH: An unmanned US drone made low flights over the Miranshah bazaar and adjacent areas in the North Waziristan Agency on Thursday since authorities feared foreign elements had reportedly tried to take refuge there after leaving the South Waziristan Agency where a military campaign was still underway.
Witnesses said the drone remained in the area for about an hour. It came so low at some points that we were quite frightened, said an eyewitness.
Intelligence reports suggested Al Qaeda suspects were trying to slip into other tribal agencies after they were flushed out from South Waziristan during the recent army operation. People in the area believed the drone flight in the area was aimed at monitoring suspects in the bordering areas.
Oh, give me a drone so where terrorists roam
I can blow the hell out of their car
Like video games
we'll engulf them in flames
They'll be frightened wherever they are
Drones, drones move down range...the coordinates I'm gonna change
They won't even hear
as the bomb's coming near
Then we'll all do high fives at the bar
Some think it is mean
we fly over unseen
And we send them a gift from afar
It drops from the sky
all their plans go awry
And they won't make it to the bazaar
Drones, drones move down range...the coordinates I'm gonna change
They won't even hear
as the bomb's coming near
Then we'll all do high fives at the bar
Maybe on TV we are going to see
A new show with ephemeral stars
A name we might try
"Stupid Drivers Who Die"
In their autos they don't get too far
Drones, drones move down range...the coordinates I'm gonna change
They won't even hear
as the bomb's coming near
Then we'll all do high fives at the bar
They won't even hear
as the bomb's coming near
Then we'll all do high fives at the bar
A godown is basically a warehouse. It is hindustani, I believe, but in general use in that part of the world.
With that crowd, how could you tell?
The US has manned drones. There are (or were as of this week) QF-4S drones stationed at Pt. Mugu which were used as aerial targets for weapons development. They are old Navy F-4S fighters which could be used either piloted or remotely.
Geez. You know your career's not going anywhere when they assign you to be a Target Drone pilot.
What is a BMG? Sure sounds like fun if it leaves big holes, but I don't know what it is.
I'll donate the five bucks for the cartridge.
Miranshah: Native: Miram Shah, is located 39 km (24 mi.) SSE of the notorious terrorist hotbead of Khowst, Afghanistan. U.S. forces have permenant installations both at Khowst (including a long runway) and south of Khowst, along the Pakistani border.
On the map below, Miram Shah can be found nearly in the center of the map. Khowst is the second city north of Miram Shah.

BMG = browing machine gun. Especially the .50 cal.
I was going to say BIG --A** Machine Gun!
"Yeah, I know we're not suppossed to use .50 cal BMG rounds against humans."
But that swift boat hero used 50 cal against that wounded viet cong...oh yeah, I forgot-he did admit to being a war criminal
"An unmanned US drone made low flights over the Miranshah bazaar
As opposed to a manned drone?"
Yeah, thats from the Department of Redundancy Department.
Nice map-that looks like we could make one hell of a ski resort there one day.
It's also worth noting that the French have leaked at least two different stories to AFP that we've almost gotten Bin Laden at two different times and places.
Dog: I checked its a storeroom ..or warehouse.
Great for storage and temporary quarters--with fast exits out the back door.
Like this?
Well, by now I guess I'm over 1500 of them. They are commentaries on the news; my form of editorial cartoon.
Damn, you mean it doesn't have anything to do with Monica Lewinsky? J
