“An unmanned US drone made low flights over the Miranshah bazaar and adjacent areas in the North Waziristan Agency...”

Miranshah:   Native: Miram Shah, is located 39 km (24 mi.) SSE of the notorious terrorist hotbead of Khowst, Afghanistan. U.S. forces have permenant installations both at Khowst (including a long runway) and south of Khowst, along the Pakistani border.

On the map below, Miram Shah can be found nearly in the center of the map. Khowst is the second city north of Miram Shah.

Nice map-that looks like we could make one hell of a ski resort there one day.

To my mind, the key is that Miram Shah is on the Tochi river. I'd bet Dollars against donuts that Osama's crew has to stay in or near the river valleys (logistics, stealth, etc.), and that would be why, to me, that the drone was going in for a closer look.

It's also worth noting that the French have leaked at least two different stories to AFP that we've almost gotten Bin Laden at two different times and places.
