With the hope of having this passed on to US military intelligence in the War Zone, or other agencies to perhaps apprehend and/or kill the enemy and thus save some US lives in Iraq, allow me to report the following from Japanese TV yesterday, (US Time):
Network: NHK TV (National Japanese TV)
Program: "Close Up Gendai" Show: "Iraq Shuken Ijo; Susumanu Saiken" (Turnover of Power in Iraq, Slow Progress on Rebuilding)
Airing: In US on TV Japan last night and in Japan yesterday
Host: Hiroko Kuniya, (graduate of Brown University and fluent in English), joined by Sahd Al Hasani, Iraqi journalist
The show included a very recent scene of Japanese TV journalists being trusted enough by Mahdi militia of Shia cleric Moqtada Sadr (fiercely anti-US, with success in killing a number of young Americans) in one of their safe houses in Iraq, to film a) the terrorists meeting and discussing an upcoming guerilla hit & run attack on American troops, including guerilla strategy, roles and weapons to be used in the attack; b) the uncovering of Mahdi weapons stored in the safehouse, including mortars for the attack; c) the discussion by several members of the anti-American guerilla cell, including the leader, who were not hooded, outling their activities in detail.
In this particular clip, in Arabic, with subtitled Japanese, they discuss the action of sending one of their Mahdi terrrorist fighters in to an American position, having him act as if he were surrendering, with the others in fall back positions then mortaring the American soldiers.
From the looks of the video, one can gain some good human intelligence with respect to methods and perhaps location, not to mention the identies, clearly shown, of at least four of these terrorists who should be taken out.
Let us hope this program is on the radar screen of our US military and US Embassy in Iraq, in an effort to protect our guys.
Eagles Up.
Nice report!
ROT RO!!!
In deliberate and gross violation of the Geneva Convention - but if the Americans even put a hood on his head - it will be front page news on the New York Times for a month...
Isn't that interesting...NHK news-the Japanese version of PBS/NPR. Wish I had seen this (but I lack your language skills-when I watch NHK I watch the English language shows).
"...difficult for US TV crews to do..."
Sounds like a "cover my butt" story concocted by the internationalists to take the heat of the "american news media" in Iraq that are embedded with the terrorists.
They are getting scared that their cameras are looking more and more like rocket launchers! --- BOOM!
Someone here HAS to know someone in a position to get this information to US intelligence.
I am pretty sure that they have already seen this since it did air on TV. But I'd like to be 100% sure of it.
Shoot the bastards.
Well, now they have some faces to go talk to. Isn't video an amazing thing???
How is it that these terrorists can afford automatic rifles, but can't afford shoes? Or is it a choice not to wear shoes? I wear sandals all year around, including winter, so going shoe-less may be their preference, just as it's their preference to use their left hand rather than toilet paper.
Too bad the safe house wasn't taken out -- with the journalists still in it.
In this case, I'm thinking of the journalists as our "useful idiots."
Hopefully we'll gain good intel and our guys on the ground will get insight into the terrorists tactics and mindset (fake surrender).
Then we can kill them.
If this had been an American film crew esp CNN, CBS<ABC
they wouldn't have given it to American intelligence.
They would have called the terrorists, freedom fighters and claimed the need to be unbiases and the reason for their silence.
The Japanese crew are greater American Patriots that 97% of the American media.
NANDEYANEN!
Demo, so ieba NHK wa kekko sayoku-kusai chau?
