Isn't that interesting...NHK news-the Japanese version of PBS/NPR. Wish I had seen this (but I lack your language skills-when I watch NHK I watch the English language shows).

It is precisely because they are not necessarily strongly pro-American on these issues, that they were allowed into the inner sanctum, IMHO. Therein lies the intel value.
