ACT stooges show up in rural America
me | me

Posted on 06/26/2004 2:40:46 PM PDT by cupcakes

I had an interesting encounter today while at my sil's house. First, let me start by saying that we were out in very rural Ohio visiting my sil. As we were leaving, 2 college age men came by with "Americans Coming Together" shirts on knocking at my sil's door. Big deal, right. The dems had their stooges out hitting the pavement trying to muster up votes. Well, here is the big deal about it...

They come up to the door as we were leaving, asking for my sil's oldest daughter BY NAME! This girl does not attend college, does not have any interest in politics, is on drugs, welfare, WIC, has a one year old son out of wedlock, and the whole kit and kaboodle. It then occured to me that these guys had a list for the area they were contacting and that list had to come directly from those who are ON PUBLIC ASSISTANCE!!!! There is just no other way they would have had my sil's daughter's name, no other way. Now maybe this isn't new for some of you more seasoned folks out there, but I thought this was so underhanded and disgusting. Folks, this area has a lot of teenage mothers who live with their parents so I can only assume these boys had their little roster of welfare recipients and they were sniffing around for votes. They also had a pretty big bag with them and hubby was dying to know what 'freebies' they were carrying around in it--we speculated cigarettes or coupons for cigarettes since this area has a high concentration of smokers too ie have a pack and vote for Kerry.

In case you are wondering, I walked by them and hubby and I continued to converse with one another in earshot about how something just jogged our memory about putting on our Bush 2004 sticker. Also, SIL is a die hard Union person and told them point blank that she doesn't care for Bush, but she cares even less for Kerry and does not intend to vote for him. She said something to the effect that she's a proud American and could not in good faith submit her vote for an extreme leftist and still consider herself such. I was proud of her. Thankfully the stooges did not get access to the welfare mom. Hubby laughed anyway that they might get her registered, but good luck making someone who can't even make her own child a priority care about walking into a voting booth. Unfortunately dems know this and probably would bus her in with offers of a freebie. I'm convinced if their constituency were left to their own devices, they'd lose by far more than they do.

Sister-in-law???
BTW, I know a guy that puts AFCSME union magazines in a plain brown envelope, then mails 'em back. Without postage. Without a return address. I don't know what happens to them...

They get sent out again and the charges are billed to the union as if they were new magazines. Hey, anyway they can make an extra buck...

I've been returning all of my junk mail with postage paid envelopes for years.

It only takes a few seconds and I get great deal of satisfaction out of it.I fill the envelope with everything they sent we that doesn''t have anything that will identify me.

Just short for "sister-in-law", and a lot easier to type.

#20. thanks for sharing this information with all of U.S. about DSA being a subchapter of CPUSA. I did not know that before but did slightly suspect as such.

Tell everyone you can to watch out for these ACT people, they are hiring convicted sex offenders and batterers to canvas neighborhoods.

I'm not sure about DSA being linked to the CPUSA. I believe it was/is linked to the Socialist Internationale(sp?). You might be interested in this link.

Go to your link for DSAUSA. Click on "about us". They say they are part of the Socialist International.

You should report this to the RNC and the FEC. If somebody within the local govt offices is releasing that "private" information to ACT .. that is a violation of several laws I can think of. You need to pursue this and find out what ACT is up to. If they're willing to hire felons to register people, they're willing TO DO ANYTHING TO REGAIN THEIR POWER.

We need to make a fuss .. just to let them know we notice what they're doing.

this came from Ed Gillespie in an email today:
Dear.........,

Many Republican State Party Chairs sent the following letter to their Democratic counterparts today:

America Coming Together (ACT) has claimed to reach over 2 million targeted households in their efforts to register Democratic voters to defeat President George W. Bush. This week in Arkansas the Kerry campaign hired a senior member of the ACT team to lead their state efforts. Recently in Ohio the state Democratic Party declared that ACT will run the ground game for them.

Furthermore, today's Kansas City Star reports that Charlene Davis, director of the Jackson County election board, said "many of the voter registration forms ACT workers had turned in contained inaccurate information" and called it "the worst I've ever seen." Erroneous information included forms filled out for residents of Kansas and Minnesota, and forms from people too young to vote.

ACT has admitted to sending felons convicted of sex crimes and assault to conduct voter registration efforts in as many as 17 states. Despite initial willingness to clarify their hiring process they now refuse to say whether they sent a murderer and a rapist door to door.

I hope you will make clear that the party of this state, under your direction, is not using similar tactics to register voters and in doing so reaffirm the validity of your activities.

As both our parties mount aggressive efforts to register new voters and encourage participation in the political process, I hope you will join me in repudiating these tactics to provide all voters the assurance that the election process is transparent, bipartisan, and fair.

I can't tell you enough how important our Party's grassroots efforts are and how much pride we take in your role as Team Leaders. You make ours the hardest working, most efficient political team in the history of politics.

Keep up the great work.

Sincerely,

Ed Gillespie

#35. Thanks for the tip, neverdem.

I fear for the Country. These people will stop at nothing for their quest for power. They would cause us to lose a war against terrorism to get that power. they would instigate a civil war here to get that power.

America needs to wake up and see who these people are and stand up to them and say enough is enough, if you do not stand up for America, get the hell out of America.

As the President has said, "Either Your with U.S. or against U.S.".

It's time we call them out. It's time we take them on and defeat them out in the open in the daylight and let the sunshine down on them and expose them for what they are for ALL to see!!!!

Very Best FReegards, Defender2
