Sometimes we don't like gore.Tell that to Michael Moore, concerning the images in his latest bit of trash. I don't hear any media hand-wringing over that. I also didn't hear any media hand-wringing on Mel getting an R-rating or not getting a distributor.

I'd rather not see the beheading's myself. It's too evil a thing to watch and no one should be forced to see it.

If Mel Gibson had just given his Romans a pair of sunglasses, a katana, and a dark trench coat, the violence would have been cool and everything would have been OK.

I haven't viewed any of the videos because I don't see the need to go through life with that imagery. If I wanted to, I can view it anytime on the internet.
But Cavuto may have a point. Right now I think of the videos on the same level as internet porn. If the networks showed them, would it bring home the horror?

Did you see Cavuto's interview yesterday with the little girl with cancer who sold lemonade and raised a half million to find a cure?
He's a class act.

"You see, I want us appalled. I want us angry. I want us outraged. I want us sickened."
This what the terrorists who do these things want as well. They want to make us so angry that we do something equally as viscous and horrifying. They want their fellow Islamists to be as angry at us as we are at them. If they had their way, they would instigate a world war. A holy war where every Muslim would fight to the death against the Infidels.
Is this what we want? I don't know? Perhaps. It certainly would solve things once and for all. It would also likely kill millions of innocent people. It seems to be what Cavuto wants, but I think we need to look at the situation logically and not go into it blinded by emotion and rage.

We should be less civilized and more like the bastards who want us dead.Screw "compassion". When you deal with animals - you sometimes have to become one. And if you can't - please move along, you're holding the rest of us up.

I agree every ADULT U.S. citizen should view it, but I don't want Fox to show it every hour where young children could randomly flip on to the video.
I'm well rehearsed in the argument that if you don't like it don't watch (we've had our TV unplugged for two months now), but some parents aren't responsible and the images are, needless to say, inappropriate for young children.

Sometimes we don't like gore. When it comes to gratuitous, meaningless, repetitive gore, I agree.

Oddly enough, Cavuto used to be on PBS' "Nightly Business Report", hmm, some years ago.
