Members of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) had a harsh and simple message yesterday for independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader: Get your ass out.
Rep. Carolyn Kilpatrick (D-Mich.) made that comment to the man many Democrats blamed for putting Bush in the White House, according to several sources in the closed-door meeting.
Many of us told him that, said Rep. Major Owens (D-N.Y.). But Nader appeared unwilling to heed the CBCs advice, causing many black lawmakers to express their frustration.
The guys got a Messiah complex, said Rep. Al Wynn (D-Md.). Hes all over the park on why he wants to run. He gives you all kinds of reasons, none of which match the rationale of his candidacy.
Nader arrived at the meeting 30 minutes late, and it was interrupted by a series of roll-call votes. Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.), chairman of the CBC, said he hoped the meeting had an impact on his conscience. Now we pray that hell synchronize his conscience with his conduct.

"Get your ass out?" The only ass I see in the race is Kerry. Maybe that's what they really meant?
The members of the Congressional Black Caucus are such hypocrites. Go Ralphie go!
thank GOD for NADER
Sounds kind of like a Massachusetts senator I've been hearing about lately.
Why is she crying, and he's laughing?
Does that have anything to do with slapping the donkey?
Why the heck did Ralph agree to meet with these Jerks anyway. Didn't he know this was an ambush?
Only one in the race supporting the school choice blacks overwhelmingly want for their kids - President Bush. The democrat massahs won't let their vassals have it, so the poor kids rot in ghetto hell while Ted Kennedy pretends someone is going to improve the public schools. The dems support every spending program imaginable, but won't send poor black kids to a decent private school because they prize their NEA cash way above those children. Nader, Kerry, and the congressional dems (black and white) all have their feet on the throats of black youth.
Ah, the grace and fluency of political discourse at the highest levels of government!
Nice language, lady.
I still think Nader will duck out at the last minute and throw his support to Kerry. In return, Kerry will appoint him to the cabinet or other high post, if he wins. I hope the RNC is prepared.
Since when does any candidate for any office need the CBC approval to seek office?
I hope Ralph can withstand the abuse that will be heaped on him in the coming days. As their desperation grows, the Dems will launch the most vicious attacks on anyone seen as the enemy (or indirectly aiding the enemy).
Do you think Nader is really going to be any kind of factor this year? It appears to me most MSM are doing their best to ignore him; they don't want to give any unsuspecting Dem voter out there an option. And though I hate to give them credit for anything, I think the Bush haters are at least smart enough to know that Kerry needs every vote he can get for their wet dream to be realized.
Why would he do that? He hung in there for 2000, he didn't throw his votes to Gore (who is probably more "green" than Kerry)
Nader's full-court press on the Democrats seems to be working.
" Get your ass out!" how professional!!!!!!
