Iran seeks swap of Brits for suicide attackers

Report says 40 Revolutionary Guard 'volunteers' held by UK

Iran apprehended British military personnel and Navy vessels earlier this week in order to secure release of 40 "suicide operations volunteers" held by the UK, according to an Iranian Revolutionary Guard source.

The source told the London Arabic-language daily Al-Sharq Al-Awsat that the British Army command in Iraq received the demand from the Revolutionary Guard, reported the Middle East Media Research Institute.

According to the source, the content of the message was very simple: "Release our comrades, whom you are holding, and we will release your soldiers."

This is still unresolved for me. For some reason it clearly says PHP-Nuke in the Arabic message posted on IH, which is I guess referring to the linked picture at the top of the message since PHP represents a web page. Even last night, the picture and link were dead ends.

The PHP-nuke reference appeared above the main text just before what was a clickable link (none of the links worked even when they were first posted). But that is not unusual; the info was captured before it was taken down or otherwise made not available.

I wonder if "nuke" was the name of a picture of a volcano or a pic of a nuke explosion meant only for illustrative purposes... But when I followed the link last evening, it it did not point to a page with "nuke" in the html at all. I will post more if I can ever discover more about this.

The video and the message both refer to a volcano. The nuke reference must either be a mistake (but that is unlikely) or perhaps the Arabic words for nuke and volcano are similar? Not sure yet.

I have not...

I rarely find time for 'pleasure' reading during schoool and I have not read that book. What does he have to say? I am currently reading 1,000 Years for Revenge, it is quite good. It talks about the FBI's mistakes that led to the first WTC bombing and ultimately 9/11.

I have read about 15 books on the subject in the past 3 years, but have not read American Jihad. Can you fill me in?

Now let's also mention the UC Irvine graduation ceremony where the Hamas group was allowed the following.

Do you remember the Arabic message from last evening that SgtRock at IH and you both posted about the volcano, the one with 8 links to wmv files? The IH version (before translation) had a reference to PHP-nuke at the very top above the first picture which was clickable. Do you recall that at all or do you know why that nuke reference would be there? I know that the "PHP" designates a web page, but the link did not point to a page that had "nuke" in the title. I find it very curious.

All I can think of is that they had "nuke" in the pic title and it was either a pic of a volcano or nuke explosion, but the fact that I still cannot find "nuke" anywhere in the link title absolutely stumps me...

As to the video of the children, I don't accept that as being a product of muslim children. The speaking child is gesturing with his left hand.

I'm very afraid they will not wake up until we are hit with the so called big one.

I can't forget it, every morning I wake up remembering how I woke up that morning to the telephone since I'm on Westcoast time.

"They're bombing New York I was told!!!! WHAT, that's impossible?? Turn on the TV..............and there it was. FIRE, SMOKE, PEOPLE SCREAMING. THEN THE PENTAGON THEN THE UNKNOWN OTHER PLANES!! Many tears were shed that day and disbelief and anger. Where is the anger now?

Simple IMO, Bush must go to congress and get an official Declaration of War against AQ and their offspring. I honestly believe that we will not be able to completely defeat AQ unless we declare war while we can and step up the battle against them, all around the world. The WOT is becoming too ill-defined and threatens to become a war against the Muslim 'ummah' (nation) as a whole. The US cannot let that happen, we must show that we are solely interested in defeating AQ.

Even I forget we are at war sometimes and I pay more attention to this stuff than most people (maybe not more than TM'ers). I think we need to have some sort of reminder every day that we are at war, we currently do not. Most people go about their lives now the same as they did before 9/11 (oblivious to what is going on in the world). A real war deserves a real declaration of war.
