Iran seeks swap of Brits for suicide attackers
Report says 40 Revolutionary Guard 'volunteers' held by UK
Iran apprehended British military personnel and Navy vessels earlier this week in order to secure release of 40 "suicide operations volunteers" held by the UK, according to an Iranian Revolutionary Guard source.
The source told the London Arabic-language daily Al-Sharq Al-Awsat that the British Army command in Iraq received the demand from the Revolutionary Guard, reported the Middle East Media Research Institute.
According to the source, the content of the message was very simple: "Release our comrades, whom you are holding, and we will release your soldiers."
We are the "Stotters" who make ourselves aware of the enemy who wishes to do us harm
Shooting in Detroit leaves nine wounded at Freedom Festival fireworks
(Detroit-AP, June 24, 2004, 7:21 a.m.) A gunman opened fire into a crowd that had gathered downtown to watch the International Freedom Festival fireworks display, wounding nine people and forcing hundreds to scatter.
Chief Ella Bully-Cummings said Thursday morning that one of the victims, a 22-year-old man, remained in critical condition at a local hospital with a bullet wound to the heart following the Wednesday night shooting.(snip)

I don't think they've found Mr. Johnson's body yet.
An honest mistake, why get your panties in a bunch over it?
I just heard! It was horribly windy here, I was waiting to get nailed all night, are you ok?
Thank you Q
Looks like a quagmire to me.
LMBO DC you remember! Wonder if I ever saw Granny at the casino's backin the early 70's?
Last I heard his body still hadn't even been found?!
LOL.
I posted that one to Jill, because she had the Freedom Festival as a target for a "hit" on June 23rd. Waiting to hear the description of the shooter...

Kudos to these internet terrorist hunters!!!
Do you folks know them?

7 sleuths helped snare spy suspect
Internet skills were key to catching the Lynnwood man.
Brent Astley bristles at the suggestion that his organization is an amateur group of terrorist hunters.
True, they aren't paid. But they know their way around a computer and thousands of Web sites around the world that could leave cyber clues about national security threats, he said.
"I think our abilities are anything but amateur," Astley said. "Among the seven of us, there's quite a variety of positions and academic backgrounds."
The seven are members of a loose-knit worldwide group associated with 7-Seas Global Intelligence, a private organization of volunteers who probe Web sites for information about the next bombing or assassination attempt.
A deliberately shadowy group, most people haven't heard of 7-Seas. More know it by the fruits of its labors.
It was a 7-Seas associate in Montana who last fall set the bait for National Guard Spec. Ryan Anderson of Lynnwood. The guardsman faces a general court-martial for allegedly trying to defect and turn over military secrets to the al-Qaida terrorist network. The military announced Wednesday that it would not seek the death penalty against Anderson. (snip)

THANKS.
Gold up to $401.50 this morning. USD is stable at $89.32. It's gold that scares me...
As soon as I read about the boobytrap in the Korean gentleman's body I wondered if something might have been exploded in Mr. Johnson's remains....or if a bio/chem WMD was implanted as the al qaida have said they will use corpses.
From last thread:
Give me a stack of flyers with "what to report" and I'll volunteer my time to educate those in my community. I'll post flyers at the library, at the grocery store, at the gas station, at the train station and the mall. (You get my drift).
The PEOPLE are NOT aware, they have NOT been educated and there are not enough eyes on this. We can sit and HOPE there won't be another attack and blame Ridge or Bush if IT happens, or WE can do something.

A Big bump!!!
Tell it like it should be told my sister!!!
Not enough of the Muslim groups have denounced terrorism though, Vel. I have listened and I am still waiting... It is a disgrace. Even the Taliban decried the 911 hit and Hamas put out a press release against another recent terrorist hit. We know how genuine they are. There are many Islamic lobbying groups within the U.S. -- just for starters, forget about the groups all over the world. Where are these U.S. groups? They are out there protesting the detainment of suspicious jihadi types and the profiling of Muslims (which we do not do enough of, BTW), that's where. They are out there demanding that Muslim women be allowed to skirt our laws by wearing burkas in drivers' license pics. They are not saying we denounce terrorism and want to work with America to stop it.
Sorry, but the U.S. -- as a whole -- hears all the time criticism from the Red Cross, the Vatican, the U.N. and so many others for every move we make. All the while, these same groups let the killing of terrorists groups and the silence of Muslim advocacy groups slide. And, sadly, it goes beyond the U.S. as being above all else and that we should be held to a higher standard at this point. B.S. I don't buy that anymore.
I am sick of it. It is time for good people around the world -- in the world bodies especially -- to start holding the Muslim advocacy groups and the terrorists to higher standards! In fact, aren't the terrorists the ones in need of higher standards?! If the Muslim advocacy groups and the international bodies would start uniting against terrorists instead of slamming America, then maybe we could lick this terrorism problem quicker.
