NEW YORK - Across America on Thursday the headline rang out on Broadcast Networks, CNN, and the front pages of some newspapers. It was the most glaring attempt I have ever seen to deliberately manipulate the information the public has the right to know.
I am talking of course about the findings of the 9/11 commission staff as they reported to the commission on the different investigative efforts that they had undertaken. And there in the first sentence of the first paragraph on the front page of the supposed "Paper of Record" the great lie was told.
The headline flatly said - No Qaeda-Iraq tie. The headline did not read - panels finds no collaboration on 9/11. (Which is what the President has said repeatedly.) The first sentence infact said that the findings contradicted Bush's reasons for war in Iraq.

Unfortunately liberals have reached a point where they couldn't care less about the facts. I wish I knew how to combat it.

The Times have never let facts impede their reports. I'm surprised they haven't brought Jayson Blair in as lead Editor (yet).

New York Times. One of the main reasons why campaign finance reform should have been defeated.

I think some in the media have gone from misleading to actual lies. I thought at first they were just seeing what they wanted to see, but that argument is rapidly losing steam. This is no longer just media bias.
As some of these 9/11 commissioners go around trying to set the record straight, it should get interesting.

I don't know what to do about the liberal (?) press either. It appears that liberal may not be the term that we want to use anymore. Some of the press appears to be pushing agenda's which puts them in the position of propaganda organs instead of news organizations. They are approaching Baghdad Bob's position in believability.
What to do about them? Who knows? Write to their advertisers -perhaps. Definitely, don't buy their rags.

How about this:
Vice Chairman of the 9/11 Commission Lee Hamilton blasted the mainstream press yesterday for distorting the Commission's findings on links between Iraq and al Qaida before the Sept. 11 attacks, saying those findings actually support Bush administration contentions. "The sharp differences that the press has drawn [between the White House and the Commission] are not that apparent to me," Hamilton told the Associated Press, a day after insisting that his probe uncovered "all kinds" of connections between Osama bin Laden's terror network and Iraq.

This whole thing regarding the 9-11 commission and how its reports has been handled by the main stream media shows you how desperately the established media wants to defeat Bush. That the media would lie and distort facts is an example of their desperation to replace Bush. It is amazing that Bush is up 4 points in the latest Polls considering all the bad news for Bush over the last few months. That shows you how weak a candidate Kerry is and how the people can see through the media's lies.
