This morning President Bush met with his Cabinet in the White House and discussed the booming economic recovery and then answered questions from the press. Later he went to a hotel in Washington D.C. and addressed the National Federation of Independent Business 2004 Small Business Summit, and then boarded Air Force 1 for Spokane Washington for a fundraiser. First Lady Laura will be in Cleveland tomorrow.
It is SO maddening watching the media's treatment of our President! I'm thankful the Lord strengthens him, or I don't see how he could stand the continual onslaught against him!
Wow, Wphile, I'm SO happy you got to meet him! I'm new posting here, but lurked long and have read your posts in the past. Can't wait to see the picture you took with him!
Congratulations Wphile!
And you notice you were well prepared to have a well informed conversation with President Bush. Sounds like you had a wonderful day. That's the benefits of the daily dose.
I have to get up early tomorrow so I'm going to have to run, but I will check this thread tomorrow for pictures.
Whoever is doing the dose tomorrow might be able to post your pictures tomorrow?
WOW! Congratulations on your SPECIAL 'meeting' with the President!
BTW: I agree with your assessment: the President is incredibly HANDSOME and PERSONABLE (and so easy to interact with)!!!
[Hmmmmmmmmmmmm: ". . . hand on his stomach" -- I'm officially jealous!!!!]
FYI: My family and I lived in Issaquah, WA for 6 years (while hubby worked for Microsoft) -- we moved to Cincy, OH 4 years ago. And yes, I expect you and your fellow WA Republicans to deliver the state for GWB in November!!! [Did you see the thread tonight indicating that the President and Kerry are statistically tied in WA -- you've got a fighting chance!!!!]
Wphile, that's inCREDible. Wow, you had a lot of conversation with Dubya. Think you broke a record for rope-line talk. Congratulations.
OK, s l o w d o w n. You're hyperventilating!!!!!
(and I'm a wee bit jealous)
:)
I agree with you SO much, Pythonic Cow! One couldn't be given a nicer gift than of all the fellowship, caring, and FRiendship of my fellow Freepers and Dosers! Not to mention all the news and information! :D
All these books and movies attacking the President are not going to hurt him, in fact, they will help him, because all they offer is negativity, that has been a recipe for losers since the beginning of time.
I agree with your astute assessment -- onward to a great victory in November!!!
Night all!
Kitty Mittens, I'm so sorry about your little putty tat. It's so dang hard to lose our sweet pets.
I'm posting a poem that has helped me through my loss of Cubby.
Grieve not,
nor speak of me with tears,
but laugh and talk of me
as if I were beside you . . .
I loved you so ---
'twas Heaven here with you.
Wow! That is awesome Wphile! LOL, your conversation with him was funny. It's true how we can rehearsh over and over in our mind exactly what we will say to the President when we get the chance, only to collapse into a heap of jello with mush for brains and end up babbling some inane blather. To your credit, you did better than most of us. I applaud you. I'm also very pea-green.
Oops, forgot to mention that the BUSH TWINS will be featured in a 'fashion layout' by VOGUE (not Vanity Fair) magazine (August edition)!!!
OK, now I'm heading to bed!
Thank you, dear Freeper FRiend, for your thoughtfulness, for posting this sweet poem! It brought tears to my eyes reading it, and thinking that my Fang-Face would want me to remember him with joy, not sorrow. I hope you will see your dear Cubby again someday, and I, my sweet Fang-Face. God Bless you. :)
Hi, MJY1288! I've long loved your posts! Your speeches always give me optimism and hope, and I've loved your constant support of our President, and your love and help for your fellow Freepers you've given! Thank you for all the times you've lifted my mood and steeled my resolve to be strong for our President! (May I call you Mike?) :)

Neato! I still think President Bush and Laura need to come to Conroe. They just have to come visit!!!!!!! *sigh*
Ok, I am SSSSSSSOOOOOOOO GREEN with jealousy!!!!! We are such a RED state (or are we blue this year? Don't they change back and forth every 4 years?) President Bush knows he doesn't need to visit. Needs to keep going to those swing states.
WHOA....YOU had a REGULAR CONVERSATION with the President....WOW...Wphile....Think you'll come down by the Convention? I'm sooooo jealous....but, your excitement permeates this place. Will have to look at pics next week, as am gone to Hood River for the weekend.
Oh, and Thanks, OWF....for the pictures....great as usual.
They need to venture out to Mohave County Az. Sure it's hotter than blazes out here, but they could enjoy a nice boat ride on the cool Colorado River.
