Rush Says 9/11 Commission Member DID Find Iraq/AQ Connections
June 16, 2004

Rush just said that one of the 9/11 Commission Hearing members has written the media complaining that they have taken ONE line out of context.
They HAVE found Iraq/AQ connections, but haven't found that Iraq was involved in 9/11. Even though they were't charged WITH even looking at that.
And Bush has never claimed that Iraq was behind 9/11.

"I suspect the DemocRATS are laying the groundwork with this Iraqi prison scandal to try and start impeachment proceedings against Bush when he is re-elected. Didn't Hannity mentioned yesterday that Fat Teddy Kennedy was gearing up for that?

That the Republicans are not out there COUNTERING these lies ticks me off to no end.Perhaps they are, and the same people who are lying about this report are also failing to mention the clarifications from the GOP. Orwell, after all, said that omission was the most powerful form of lie.

You sound like how I feel!
There are a few freepers whom I respect who say that it's too early, the administration will do what we want, it's a rope a dope strategy.
I can't quite buy into that, much as I'd like to. If you have the truth at hand, you USE it and don't wait while the entire country turns against you and the war.
Turning against the war is going to politicize it and will hurt our troops. I DO NOT want to see them treated the way we treated our Vietnam vets.
I do not want to see the DNC get their talking points and then when Bush tries to counter it someday down the line (if in fact these freepers are correct) people will have already tuned out and will not listen. Bad strategy if that is the strategy, imo

Surely we can't expect the almighty media to actually read these things before they compose the headlines? /sarcasm.

Benv: This information seemed to have made its way into the public venue.....
As Perky Katie might say, "There are those who say that...." or "Some say that...."
Could that be how it might have gotten into the public venue, Ben?

So does this mean that everyone is in agreement? Sure seems that way to me.
Connections = yes
Involved (SH) in 9/11 = no
Is that how it reads/seems to everyone else? The NYT editorial today also appeared to say the same thing (we could be in for some rough times here if all parties are in agreement - something like a planetary alignment and high tides).

I wonder the same on many of the major issues. Where are the Pubbies? Makes on wonder why we even bother to support the Pubbies. Like it or not, at least you know where the Dems stand and you know the Dems will fight tooth and nail for what they believe/want. The Pubbies are.....where?

As much as I despise the media, they certainly don't have a monopoly on spin. The administration clearly shifted its focus from "WMD" to "evidence of WMD programs." Employing that kind of tactic in order to reinforce one's argument is not unique.
