That can't be true. Haven't you heard the 9/11 commission has determined that there are no terror ties between Iraq and 9/11.

Why is there still a city named Fallujah in Iraq, again?

Nope...the Pentagon retired the MOAB...and with it being this close to hand over time the Bush Administration is not going to just drop a free bomb on that dump. My guess is more negotiation with Iraqi police and army to go in there and get him...but nah...he will get away.

Fallujah is where we lost our will to fight.

Mission Unaccomplished.

We never did what we said we would do there. We stood down.

Jeeze why doesn't Fox they make a public service announcement so that he can skeeedadle out of there. Unless we've caught him and are just throwing a tease out there. (Wishful thinking on my part!)

Maybe the point is to make an announcement like this and see the bugs run.

MOAB? That's an anti-"hearts and minds" weapon if I've ever heard one ;)

Because, when a war turns PC, we have to play nice--they don't.

Well, I'm not sure how Zarqawi being in Fallujah NOW means there were ties between Iraq and 9/11. I mean, there are Iranian agents in Iraq now as well, and I don't think that necessarily proves that Iraq and Iran were allied against us...

The MOAB, sadly, is looking more and more like a piece of pre-war propoganda to scare senior Iraqi officers into cooperating with us (hence the very public airing of test footage). It has never been used in battle, and I don't think there are plans to do so.

You haven't been paying attention.

In the 1990's the mainstream press wrote hundreds of articles that Osama bin Laden and Saddam had a growing relationship.

In 1998, the Clinton administration said that OBL agreed not to attack Iraq in exchange for WMD training.

Less than two months before 9/11/01, the state-controlled Iraqi newspaper “Al-Nasiriya” carried a column headlined, “American, an Obsession called Osama Bin Ladin.” (July 21, 2001)

In the piece, Baath Party writer Naeem Abd Muhalhal predicted that bin Laden would attack the US “with the seriousness of the Bedouin of the desert about the way he will try to bomb the Pentagon after he destroys the White House.”

The same state-approved column also insisted that bin Laden “will strike America on the arm that is already hurting,” and that the US “will curse the memory of Frank Sinatra every time he hears his songs” – an apparent reference to the Sinatra classic, “New York, New York”.

Do you think the military would give this info to the media without giving themselves a good headstart?
