"The Town of Our Lady the Queen of Angels of the Little Portion" In my recollection, there is no "portion" mentioned in the formal name of Los Angeles: But the original name DOES include Little Portion (or little land) -"El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Angeles de Porcincula" ie "The Town of Our Lady the Queen of Angels of the Little Portion"
