Thanks for posting the lyrics to "Abide With Me" (Post 2726). I was hoping someone would.
Looks like it's the finish for the line of mourners. The guys in uniform are coming up now to individually salute before the casket.

I watched Fox, saw Mickey Rooney. From what I hear there was more public outpouring than for Kennedy's funeral.
I didn't watch Johnson's funeral, seemed it wasn't even mentioned much in the news. I presume he was buried somewhere in Texas.

I was just going to post same....the band saluting two by two and taking their leave.

It is after all these years the truth of love the people had for this President being shown.Time hasn't erased that, only enforced it all the more! I've always admired and loved this President....and never could figure out why he was not so by all. He was always, always, a good man. But then, again, evildoers do hate those who do good.

Saw USSS in the background every step of the way. The military handles the upfront -- his detail will leave and hers will stay. I think I remember reading that his detail though was down to almost nothing. One of his former agents came back for this week to help Nancy.

I have not seen anyone mention General Jackman (I think that is his correct name). I have been impressed with how patient he has been in escorting Nancy. I think he has done a great job.
All our military folks have been extraordinary.

Am I the only one to perceive Ron slamming GWB by his making a distinction between his father "not wearing his faith on his sleeve" and saying his dad did not "mistake" his survival of the assassination attempt as a "mandate" from God? I am positive that is what he was getting at.It was exactly that, and he said it pointedly.

"I suggest that we do as Ronnie would do and let this one pass, the young man just lost his father, there is still time for him to see the truth. I completly agree. And besides, the press never covered it the first place, so that just left most of America wondering why he was talking about a thumb?

Hi, Meg ... it''s been quite a day, from dawn to dusk, from sea to shining sea.
President Reagan has brought most of this country together in love and respect, for him and for America.
I feel such pride, I could bust like a watermelon in hot sunshine.
I'm a frappé of sorrow and joy.

Blessings.

Ronnie the Younger was slamming President Bush plain & simple. I have a hard time thinking he would do something like that.
I know it's scriptural.

To the libs, if you happen to mention IN PASSING that you believe in God and go to a Christian denomination church, you are forcing religion down everyone's throats and wearing your religion on your sleeve.
