I have not seen anyone mention General Jackman (I think that is his correct name). I have been impressed with how patient he has been in escorting Nancy. I think he has done a great job.
All our military folks have been extraordinary.
RE: The man escorting Nancy--he HAS been so patient and kind and protecting to her. I KNOW he had a tear running down his cheek earlier, I think after the service at the Cathedral. He almost had to hold her up as she walked away from the casket with the flag. It was heartbreaking.

I just finished telling hubby that in our country this week, there are now thousands of boys who want to join the armed forces after seeing how (and I hate to use this word, but here I go) COOL our military is!
Another blessing from RR!
Amen to that. They are a wonder to behold. I have just felt my heart swell watching the General escorting her. Words fail - a real, real man...
In regards to your comments on General Jackman, he has been so tender with Mrs. Reagan.
Was he assigned to her, or did she select him?
