Evey fiber of my military soul is itching to get up and stand at attention right now.

You should do it.

Wednesday night I did, and I'm just a doughy, bespectacled civilian.

I believe Brit Hume said earlier today that it is the flag that flew over the Capitol during his second inauguration.

What a view!

A fitting resting place for a man with the vision this President had!

I heard they were going to remove his flag and present it to the USS Reagan captain, who will then present it for keeps to Nancy.

I believe that is correct. I also believe that he has already given her a flag that flew over the U.S.S. Ronald Reagan, CVN-76.

---Does anyone know what the name of that beautiful instrumental piece is that was played when the clergy and then Nancy exited the church---

I was wondering also. I was just a heap of tears on the floor. It was magnificent. I wish they'd make a recording of the funeral music.

The backdrop is absolutely amazing. How many of us wish we could out like this? God has his hand on this place today.

You're absolutely right. My large family has had a longtime relationship with a particular funeral home because of their well-done services and compassion.
