You know, in spite of RR's White House derss code, he knew something that John Kerry will never catch on to. We are all people who put our pants on one leg at a time, and when we step in water, our foot goes to the bottom. If RR could sit up in that casket, bet he would shake the hand of the man in the photo, and ask " How are you doing?" This man in the photo looks like a Viet Nam or Korean vet.Who cars how he's dressed. He came, didn't he?

I am with you!

Drudge IMHO has sunk to his usual low self like the rest of the media! He can stuff it!

Exactly. Ronald Reagan would welcome them all as long as they were well behaved...and these people have been, because of their love, respect and honor for the former President.

My prayer for the viewing, mourning and honoring of Ronald Reagan

These people have to wait in 90 degree heat and 90 degree humidity for HOURS -- God bless those who can do it in a suit and tie or hose and heels, but methinks President Reagan is honored by this fellow just as much as he is by the others.

Drudge is being who he is, focusing on the form, not the function. Now what other group of abominations would criticize a respectful mourner for the clothing they wear???

The LA Slimes fashion editor trotted out this same lame crud during the Library viewing. Just trying to depict anyone who would bother to spend the time to pay their respects as a bunch of Joe Six Pack slobs.

Although the appearance of way to many fanny packs is disturbing.

Many came directly from the jobs and didn't have time to change.

Yesterday the temp was over 100 and they were in line for hours. It is understandable that they would dress for comfort.

Nitpicking about their clothing is kind of silly, stretching for an issue.

This is just more evidence to contradict what some in the media have been telling us. Contrary to some reports, that Reagan's American didn't include the poor, Blacks and Hipsanics, I am seeing people of all stripes...who are all waiting up to 8 hours to see a man that they hardly knew. I've seen Hell's Angels types, blacks of all ages and many Hispanics, as they've all lined up in the heat to wait hours and spend a couple minutes with a man they obviously think changed their lives. It's killing them.

The way the common folk are dressed doesn't bother me. Heck if I had to wait in 95 degree heat, I'd be wearing searsucker, too.

Patti's open-toed shoes and stringy hair still bug me.

These people have to wait in 90 degree heat and 90 degree humidity for HOURS --

Amen ... also, all you have to do is fly a commercial airline today to notice how dress standards have been lowered. At least people standing in line for hours outside in high temperatures and humidity have a plausible excuse.

I any of you have ever experienced a summer in DC, you'd probably end up in the same attire or less.

I lived in Houston,Miami and DC....at it's worst, -DC is the hottest, muggiest place this side of hell.

Too bad for you, Drudge. And too bad for any media types who want to criticize that guy.

It's really hard to look nice after hours in the steaming heat with sweat dripping off your nose.

I know because I live near Houston and I hate it every summer!

O.K. That is not the way I would have dressed to go to the Rotunda but that man is showing his respect in his own way and it is obvious to me that that man deeply respected Ronald Reagan.

Drudge tells us "young women wore ultra-mini skirts and halter tops"... and then his visual is [photo of middle aged man]?

I'd have thought Drudge was media-savvy enough to provide a photo of the babes dressed for the 90 degree, high humidity weather, not the guy.

I suppose Drudge paid his respects to President Reagan with a suit on today after waiting in the heat? I doubt it.

I wish Drudge would pitch a fit over the disrespect of the media calling the President, "Mr. Bush." Correctly it is Mr. President or President Bush.

If you can wear it on the streets w/ no problem, you can bring it into the "people's house" to pay tribute to a Man of the People, IMHO...

Don't worry, the press(NYT, WP, LA Times) will be praising the Clintonesque dress of plump tarty interns in thongs passing by his one ton astro turfed lined casket in the Capitol Rotunda.
