Alot of dignataries are now showing up to pay respects. McCain, Guiliani, Gorby, Karzai, etc.
Cspan has live coverage. Bush expected at 7 but could be earlier? He is then going to visit with Mrs. Reagan.
Guard changes about every half hour at .28 and .58 of the hour. One is going on right now.
George Bush greeeting people as he walked out..and it looked like Barbara was thinking..OH NO not here..and pulled him along..
The remains will then be escorted to the U.S. Capitol and received with ceremony at 7 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, June 9, 2004. Former President Reagan will lie in state with a Guard of Honor. Public viewing and media coverage will be allowed during this time.On Friday, June 11 at 10:30 a.m., a departure ceremony will take place at the Capitol and move by motorcade to the Washington National Cathedral.
So, let's say the piblic viewing began at 8:30pm on Wed. and will go to 9:30am on Friday - that's 37 hours or 370,000 visitors.

Quick simple, respectfull and classy.
The whole thing was interesting. They didnt really go alone.. They called up Baker and wife. They didnt stay long. Gorby stayed longer than Bush Sr. Kind of weird given that he was the VP for 8 years under reagan.
It's quite possible there will be a repeat at midnight. I believe that is what happened last night. At least be alert for the possibility.
You can kind of tell when someone 'important' is coming through. The line stops exiting, and they stack up 4-5 deep. If you glance at the clock, and it''s not just before the hour/half hour, that means a VIP is getting ready to go through.
All I can say is "wow! With that mural in the background -- what a powerful picture!"

Wow, that's the first I've heard of it. Do you have a link? Last thing I recall reading was his comment that if that is the family's wish (speakers), it should be honored.
They are moving through fairly quickly. I think they are realizing they aren't gonna be able to let everybody in line in.
They do the changing of the guard every half hour right before the hour and half hour mark, right?
indeed. makes you wonder what is going through people's minds - are they so plugged into themselves as political figures that they forget what is going on around them?
They are moving dignataries through fast as it stops the lines when they are there and would think they want to get as many people through as possible. None of the evening dignataries have stayed long including the President.
