Please keep in prayer Father Timothy Vakoc, Army Chaplain, seriously wounded in an i.e.d. (improvised explosive device) explosion south of Baghdad on Saturday 29 May. Father is a priest of the Archdiocese of St. Paul – Minneapolis.
As of this writing he is in stable but very serious condition. Within the next several days, Fr. Tim will be transported to Walter Reed Hospital, Washington, DC. He still remains very much in need of prayer.
I think that people should notice how much good most priests do. The media never tells the good stories.
Pray for this good priest.
He is in my prayers. Our local priest, Fr. Pat Travers was just sent to Iraq 3 weeks ago as a chaplin. God bless these men. What a heart wrenching job they have.

I couldn't help but to think of Fr. Vincent Capodano, the "Grunt Padre" MOH winner, killed in Vietnam. My prayers for Father Vakoc.
Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks that You are the Great Physician, able to heal the wounds in both body and spirit. May Your healing hand rest mightily upon Father Tim, fallen while bringing spiritual comfort to those on the battlefield. Restore him, O God, that he might return to the ministry You have set before him. Give the greatest wisdom to those treating him ... let nothing be overlooked in his recovery. Surround him with comfort and encouragement, even as he has been that comfort and encouragement for our precious sons and daughters. May it be thus, O Lord, may it be thus, in the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen ...
