We arrived at 12th and Constitution at 2PM set up Freeper camp and then took shifts watching the kids in the Smithsonian. The crowd slowly grew until it was 10-15 people deep all along the procession route. All in attendance were polite, somber and super patriotic. Enjoy the photos.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!
I saw him on his way here on the West Coast - the street was lined with people as the motorcade passed by on its way to Pt. Mugu. So nice to know that he is enveloped by supporters in DC just as he was here in California.
Wonderful!!
I missed everything today (they do like you to show up at school sometimes) and am just catching up on CSPAN now. It is great to see the pictures.
I'm one of those rare people, a native Washingtonian (tho I'm on the left coast now) and I bet it was hot as hades there today, wasn't it? Didn't you just want to melt in the metro station?
Thanks again for the great pictures.
Your brother's photos are so good it's as if we're right there with you. Thank you for sharing them.
I have two questions for you: Why did you choose the screen name "pettifogger", and did you remember to say "Arigatu" to the Japanese TV station? :o)
Thanks for sharing your memories of the day. Made me feel a little closer to the day, even up here in the Northern Rockies. Thanks.
Thank you both for the account and pictures. Well done.
Thank you.
What wonderful pictures! Thank you for sharing them ... and thank you for being there.
Thank You

Many thanks for posting and taking these wonderful photos. Bookmarking now. I'm sure that being there in person was a profound experience; I have read many stories this week about the coming together of so many who love of our nation and President Reagan. The liberals have a lot to fear, I suppose...
EXCELLENT photos.
thanks!
I was kind of apalled that the crowd clapped and cheered as the former President passed by. And the music was more reminicient of a parade than a solemn funeral procession. How did you feel about it?
How many hours did you have to wait?
Thank you so much for posting these pettifogger.
Very meaningful to me.
WABC is reporting "thousands" observed the procession of President Reagan to the Capitol. You were there. What do you think? Tens of thousands? Hundreds of thousands?
Your pictures are wonderful. Thanks for being there.
Thank you for posting your wonderful photos.
I watched the ceremony on television this evening with my older son (age 9) and my husband. It was a family moment that we shared with most of the nation. My son was tranfixed by the dignity of the service, as I was. I promised him I would take him to Washington in the next couple of years. We're waiting until my younger son is old enough to appreciate it. (It's quite a hike from Flyover Country where we live.)
"America the Beautiful" was performed so beautifully it hurt.
Thank you again.
Thank you and f zero so very much for these pictures. These
are wonderful shots for posterity's sake.
Great pictures! Thank you so much for posting them.
Thank You. What wonderful pics and we looked at them while CSPAN did the same visuals.
Really got to see the awesome crowds and subway full of people from your pics.
My heart breaks everytime I see Nancy as a fellow caregiver and like many others who have given their life for their loved ones thru thick and thin to the end I know the emotions she is going thruogh.
God Bless You Mrs. Reagan.
Goodbye Gipper.
