We arrived at 12th and Constitution at 2PM set up Freeper camp and then took shifts watching the kids in the Smithsonian. The crowd slowly grew until it was 10-15 people deep all along the procession route. All in attendance were polite, somber and super patriotic. Enjoy the photos.

As I said in my reply to him, I'm a dinosaur. It'll probably take me another 10 years or so to be comfortable with digital. I still use 4x5 cut film for landscape photography, for heaven's sake!
Any idea what he reared at? Although that's hard to say, some horses get spooked at absolutely nothing. Somewhere I have a Tshirt with three cartoon horses on the front with big round eyes. First horse: "What's that?" Second horse: "I dunno." Third horse: "LET'S SPOOK!"
Hope no little kids threw pebbles under his feet.
Even that sounds technical to me. I'm the gal that's running into Eckerd on the way to some event buying the disposable.
F zero has been a Godsend and tries to help out dear ol' Sis. He has a career in the industry, you might say, and has recommended a number of good cameras and even gotten a few for us as gifts. I try.

I've been assisting my DH by holding camera stuff for 35 years (we've been married for almost 30 but dated before that.) You're bound to pick up some knowledge along the way . . . as my dad says, even a rat can learn in a maze.
Not to tell others' tales, but f zero met my dear SIL when she stopped into his camera store at the time and asked about "photography lessons." Yeah, right! ;) She is the dearest, the sister I never had, and while a great photog in her own right, probably could tell a similar story.

Wow. I'm impressed. You read the entire story of his behavior by a photo with his head raised. I have so much to learn :'). Wonder what (or who) spooked him?

Wow! Great pictures! For the cubicle bound minions that was an excellent overview. That shot of Nancy waving is wonderful.
LOL! That's what I thought too when I saw that picture!
BTW, today (Friday) we had a wide screen TV at the Republican headquarters here in Gainesville so that people could come by and watch the funeral together. We got over 500, truly remarkable for such a liberal burg.
Quite unexpectedly, a Civil War reenactor showed up with his horses, a big buckskin named Casanova (who had an attitude) and a little gray pony named Ace, who had an acting career behind him. He had been Lee's horse in "Gods and Generals" - as a result, he was quite tranquil and bided his time peacefully under the covered walkway next to the Publix in the mall where the GOP has its heaquarters. The horses added a whole special dimension to our event.
