Origin of the 21-gun salute
from the army website. Oh I like this! I'm going to have to see this:
Fifty guns are also fired on all military installations equipped to do so at the close of the day of the funeral of a President, ex-President, or President-elect.

one crowd shot shows 9-10 deep.
I'm impressed with the composure of the crowds. It is a sight to see.

[the 21-gun salute]
It is also fired at noon of the day of the funeral of a President, ex-President, or President-elect.

I'm recording Fox and casting about the varied channels and heard a very loud man's voice call out, "God bless you, Nancy" on CBS as she walked back toward the limo.

Could this mark the start of the SECOND REAGAN REVOLUTION? A revolution started by an outpouring of respect and love for RWR?
It would be fitting.

I wish we could see a wide shot. I don't think those horses have moved a muscle. I don't underestimate the selection and training of the animals that can be depended on to do this.

Small Steven Wright joke: I have the axe Washington used to cut down the cherry tree. I had to replace the blade.
And the handle.
It occupies the same space.
