CLINTON DISAPPOINTMENT: LEFT OFF FUNERAL SPEAKERS LIST

Former President Bill Clinton has privately expressed anger he has apparently been left off the speakers list of Friday's Reagan State Funeral, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

"President Clinton really held out all hope the funeral would be a nonpartisan event, like Nixon's was," a top Clinton source said on Tuesday morning. "He's angry and disappointed neither he nor President Carter have been asked to speak, as of yet."

The top source says Clinton has been critical that both Bush presidents will address the crowd gathered at National Cathedral.

Nixon's vice president Gerald Ford did not speak at Nixon's funeral.

Clinton's inner circle is convinced Nancy Reagan has personally shut out Clinton from any high-profile participation.

"It is a state funeral, using tax dollars," the top Clinton insider explained.

Former President George H.W. Bush, former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney will join President Bush in eulogizing Ronald Reagan, Reagan's office announced. Presiding over the service will be former Sen. John Danforth of Missouri, who is an ordained Episcopal priest. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor and the Rabbi Harold Kusher will give readings, while Irish tenor Ronan Tynan will sing.

The eulogy is being prepared by President Bush's chief speechwriter, Michael Gerson, who also wrote the president's moving speech for a memorial service in the same cathedral after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

It certainly does bring back memories to all of us; it surely is "Mourning in America."

Where is Clinton's concern for the grieving family, anyway? Why would anyone be concerned with their own hurt at a time like this?

That's Clinton for you...it's always all about him.

Notice that wistful "as of yet..." Publicly voicing his disappointment, HE thinks, will get him an invite? HA

Tough shit, Slick!

As smart and personable as you are, you could have been a great President, too.

Instead, you were a skirt chasing, dope smoking LIEberal a$$hole of a President who, along with your bitch of a wife and a cotierie of equally disgusting LIEberal/Socialist/Marxist bastards, conspired to trash America for your own gratification.

"Out, out, damned spot!"

Yep, when x42 passes on, Monica will lead the list of eulogizers with a pointed finger saying, "I was the kid he had an affair with, while his wife thought he was "counseling me", hehe.

You're close to the truth. Clinton needs to bring something to the table if he wants to speak. He should agree in writing in advance that George H. W., George W. and Jeb Bush will be invited to speak at his funeral -- not that they would want to -- since they might be in the company of other speakers such as Al Gore, Hillary, Monica, Fidel, Saddam, and Osama.

Besides if Nancy invited one impeached pedophiliac, the PC crowd would insist she invite them all. Let Willie hand out cigars to his friends in private rather than polluting the atmosphere at the funeral of a revered former president.

Bill Clinton should be tarred and feathered for the 911 murderer of American innocents that he is. As for Jimmy Carter, he should crawl into the black hole he came out of and never return! I only hope that I get the chance to see these two failures and traitors pass on. I will not say a nasty word. I just want to see how many "common/everyday" hardworking Americans march by their caskets as they lie in repose! Not many, I'll bet!

I can think of nothing less appropriate at President Reagan's Memorial Service than to have Mr. Carter speak. Arrogant, condescending hypocrisy has no place at such a solemn occasion. As for Mr. Clinton, his camera starved lip biting act will be quite sufficient.

Some are also missing this as to why Clinton spoke at Nixon's funeral. In the first few months of the Clinton administration, North Korea was doing allot of saber rattling. Diplomatic action was urgently needed. Carter thought he would chosen as our "ambassador for peace", but Clinton picked Nixon to deal with NK. Carter was PO'd. Nixon went to NK and started talks, at Clinton's request. The details were hammered out in later visits by others as Nixon was ill and died meaning he didn't cause the failure that we are currently facing in regard to NK. Nixon just opened the door.

The point is that Nixon and Clinton has more than just a casual ex/current Presidential relationship. Clinton has no connection to President Reagan.

Why does Clinton have to raise a stink? Ego problems that require him to be the center of attention in everything? It reminds me of the Bush inaugural when Clinton wouldn't leave the stage--he just kept hanging around and the news media had a split screen showing him trying to hog the camera while Bush was being sworn in. This man is a disgrace. It's enough to make one puke.

So what is keeping his big mouth from calling Dan Rather and going on TV to say what a great President Ronald Reagan was for this country?

I can just hear him praising President Ronald Reagan for cutting taxes, ending the cold war, getting inflation under control, etc.

NOT

Hillary hasn't been invited to the funeral, but I'm sure she'll send a note approving of it.

Unfortunately, the media will have far too many shots of Bill Clinton (and the rest of the Democrat crowd) "agonizing".

If you were President 30 years from now, what would you say at Clinton's funeral? Would you decline to speak at all?

MEMO TO NANCY REAGAN AND KARL ROVE:

If Clinton or Carter speaks at President Reagan's funeral, my family and I will be watching reruns of "I Love Lucy."

We just can't be that dumb.
