Regarding the growing wait to see the late President Reagan lying in state.
...I am overjoyed to see it. I wish I could be there. I woudl gladly wait 24 hours or more to be honored to see him lying in state. Myself and my family will be there in spirit.
I pray that the masses who desire to see him amaze everyone...that they are so numberless that they cannot be contained. I pray that they will wait as long as necessary and be glad and willing to do so, in California and in DC...white, black, yellow, brown and red.
I pray that it becomes such a phenomena that the press can't hide it, that they are at a complete loss of wors to explain it... that their socialist/liberal programs and voices are in fact left utterly speechless by it!
This is my prayer for this week of mourning and honor for the former President Ronald Reagan and his great all-American legacy...a legacy that will show him to be on of the top tow or three greatest presidents this nation had evr had, or that we have been blessed by God to see in office.
...and to those who despise our liberty and the faith and foundational moral values that make it possible...may today serve as a warning to them about the strength of these convictions all over this nation.
You are very weclome.

Are you saying that you don't believe President Bush has had "the courage to do what was right for our defenses" ..??
BTTT!!!!!!!
It's not a question of courage. Bush cannot do what is right, because the constituency will not let him. Can't give up all those drug benefits, all that welfare and all those other entitlements.
Hmmmm? I guess 50 MILLION FREE PEOPLE is not worthy of your praise.
"Well, there you go again."
That was absoultely the most moving and spiritual meeting I have ever witnessed outside of my own wedding and the funeral for my own father.
It will be remembered in years to come as an historic event that will have great impact on the people of America, our voting and institutions and I believe on the world population that witnessed it.
Ronald Reagan serves the cause of freedom even after his death and his legacy continues to grow...and it is because he epitomized tat faith and heritage that made this nation what it is...and then he went about living it.
The entire service was a testament to the faith, heritage and strength of America and laid it out for the world to see...including our enemies, foreign and domestic. It also made plain the strength of those convictions and values and how they can bring down tyranny and change the world...as the life of this great man demonstrates.
It was a literal answer to the prayer of this thread...and the similar prayers of millions of others.
Job well done on that. But that's not all there is - unfortunately.
Thanks for the ping!
As always AG< you are very welcome...and thank you for the BUMP!
I agree with your prayer! I sense that the political battleground for this election year has changed. People will be expecting the positive, optimist, pro-American message of Reagan - which is Bush's message and not Kerry's.
I believe that.
There is a sense of VALIDATION of the TRUTH at work here that in a way goes beyond the emotions and sentiments of the nation...
and it is invigorating.
It is easy to suspect that God held this event back... specifically in reserve for this very moment in history.
Beyond the sunset Mr. President...
Thanks, Jeff -- Mega pinging...
I believe that...and agree with every bit of it.
Thank you my friend...what a service...what a day. And it's not over yet!
Bump!
Winthrop believed that the eyes of the world would be on America because God had given us a special commission, so it was our duty to shine forth. The Winthrop message became the Reagan message. It rang of optimism, and we longed to hear it, especially after the dark years of Vietnam and Watergate.
It was a vision with policy implications. America could not hide its light under a bushel. It could not turn in on itself and hunker down. Isolationism was not an option; neither was protectionism. We must champion freedom everywhere. We must be the beacon for the world.
What Ronald Reagan asked of America, he gave of himself. The great American theologian Reinhold Neibuhr wrote "Children of Light and The Children of Darkness." If ever we have known a child of light, it was Ronald Reagan. He was aglow with it. He had no dark side, no scary, hidden agenda. What you saw, was what you got. And what you saw was that sure sign of inner light, the twinkle in the eye.
He was not consumed by himself. He didn't need to be president to be a complete person. The only thing he really needed was to be with his wife.
