ABC's GMA Can Only Find WWII Veterans Opposed to War in Iraq
News of 248,000 Jobs Created Leads CBS to Focus on Ohio Layoffs
Roberts leaves out the Pope's words: "God Bless America".
Not very diplomatic, but a great imaginary reply nonetheless.
Let's not have any more poll threads for a while....just for the heck of it.
Oh yeah. The world was so freakin' united we had to send 5,000 ships and 13,000 planes to Normandy to disunite it.
As I recall, our motives were questioned a little bit by the Nazis, Fascists and Japanese during their attempt to "unify" the world. Other than the largest war in history killing 55 million people, the early 1940's was a period of unprecedented peace, love and harmony amongst the nations of the globe.
While it seems, presently, that the situation in Iraq is bad and not worth the effort, I predict that history will look back and see this as a positive turning event for the future of the Middle East.
BOYCOTT CBS NEWS THEY ARE ANTI AMERICAN THEY ARE PRO SOCIALIST/COMMUNIST/GLOBELIST ELETE BLAME AMERICA FIRST FOR ALL OTHER COUNTRIES ILLS NO MATTER WHAT THEY ARE.
You're right. I have come across old articles that report all the fun anti-war protests and that America had no business getting involved in WWII. Not much different that today, honestly.
"While George Bush handily won the election with 85% of the electoral college vote, a CBS News poll shows that most Americans disapproved of Bush policies and did not in fact vote for him."
Headline should read, "cbs tries to make Bush lead amongst veterans a negative."
You are correct! Even Americans were not united in the war effort. I was an early teenager during WW2. I was in Junior High School and there were fellow students of German ancestry that thought German Socialism was "great". Never forget the 1/3, 1/3, 1/3 population break down. 1/3 for you, 1/3 against you, and 1/3 going with which ever seems the most popular.
We went to war in Europe due to Germany declaring war on us. Is that not what we are doing in the Middle East today? A Jihad was formally called for by many leaders against the U.S. either we fight them on our borders (Pearl Harbor/Twin Towers) or we take the fight directly to them. Its not about the oil people! its about American lives.
I vote for that! Hehe!
Could you please post a link to support that opinion? ;P
Boycott all the networks!
The Kerry Files, Part 3

What is happening is the inevitable eruption of disgust from Vietnam-era soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines. More than 2 million men and women served in the Vietnam theater. More than 50,000 died there. Every single one who returned and all who died have families that were directly impacted by the war--mothers, fathers, children, siblings. The number of Americans directly impacted by Vietnam must number over 10,000,000. In American politics, that's a significant number.
Then there the current members of the military, their families, and their supporters. Does Kerry's history matter to them? There is no way to know for sure, but any reasonable observer has to admit that a close election will make this issue among these voters a salient topic.
Examples: Florida went for Bush by less than 600 votes, which means that any issue that could change 300 minds flips Florida from red to blue. Iowa went for Gore by 4,144 votes. If Kerry's radicalism still rankles with 2,075 Gore voters, then Iowa slides into the red column.
