"Pope John Paul II had tough words for President Bush"

If Bush were less of a gentleman, he might have had some tough words for the pope, e.g., "We investigated the prisoner abuse scandal as soon as we heard about it, and are already punishing the guilty. Why did you sweep the priest sex-abuse scandal under the rug for 20 years?"

Not very diplomatic, but a great imaginary reply nonetheless.

As a Catholic, I strongly disagree with your remarks about Pope John Paul 11. First of all,it's the primary responsibility of the local bishops to correct and punish these evil doers. There's at least as many sexual perferts among the non-Catholic clergy as is in the Catholic Church. There are as I remember in a report a couple of years ago,85 clergy in Federal prison for sexual misconduct.40 were Catholic Clergy, 45 were Protestant and Orthodox clergy. BTW, what are Protestant Churches doing about correcting there pro-abortion,pro-gay politicians?
