ABC just announced :( Ronald Reagan was 93
I arrived to this country in 1980. Although I was struggling with the language, I loved to listen to Pres. Reagan on my portable tv any time I had a chance. He embodied the ideal of America for me. I love you, Mr. President, que Dios le bendiga!
>>I hope that his body will be layed in state under the Rotunda
According to Rita Cosby on FoxNews - that's going to happen...no schedule announced yet...AirForce-One to fly Family & Regan's body to DC...
What a Great Pair!!!
If you're going to post a response like that at least take the time to read the post that stumpy was responding to. You were way out of line.
I love this man. I'm so grateful to this man. God bless you, Mr. Reagan. I pray that Maureen welcomed you into Heaven today and that your favorite horse awaits you, as well. God bless you, sir.
Fox now says that President Bush will release a written statement tonight and speak publically on President Reagan's death tomorrow.
Is that true? Will the public be allowed to pay respects? I just wonder about the security issues these days. If so, I will definitely go do so.
They never stopped. I'm with you, bring it on!
You are at peace now, you wonderful man.
Blessings to Nancy.
I am not much for the extreme British period of mourning etc.....
But this man deserves 10 days....Monday needs to be a day with companies closing up and people not working....this man needs to be remembered.
He deserves a televised funeral.
Agreed.
>Sad Ping. Prayers for Nancy,
And prayers of Thanksgiving for us all, for the time we had him, for the great things he did for us all.
Amen! Bush should push for this. Praise God, I hope that happens.
I hate to think politics at this time but I can see a nice tribute and lots of mention of RWR at this summers GOP convention.
May God rest and keep his soul -- America has lost one of the greatest men to ever walk the planet.
May God also watch over his family.
I thought I was prepared for this but I wasn't.
"And whatever else history may say about me when I'm gone, I hope it will record that I appealed to your best hopes, not your worst fears, to your confidence rather than your doubts. My dream is that you will travel the road ahead with liberty's lamp guiding your steps and opportunity's arm steadying your way.
My fondest hope for each one of you -- and especially for the young people here -- is that you will love your country, not for her power or wealth, but for her selflessness and her idealism. May each of you have the heart to conceive, the understanding to direct, and the hand to execute works that will make the world a little better for your having been here.
May all of you as Americans never forget your heroic origins, never fail to seek divine guidance, and never lose your natural, God-given optimism.
And finally, my fellow Americans, may every dawn be a great new beginning for America and every evening bring us closer to that shining city upon a hill."
-Ronald Reagan, 1992

on the thread titled " Ronald Reagan passed away"
And SO WORTH REPEATING!
(On CBS, a biographer of Reagan just told Dan Rather that he felt like a 'large part of the earth just crumbled away...', now I'm weeping. I agree.)
Thank you Father so much for this good, good man and his tremendous vision and leadership. Please impress upon him the love we feel, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
