My opinion is that he is doing another rope-a-dope to lure the unsuspecting press and dims down another dark and empty alley.

I love this president. He works the left like trained poodles.

My guess is that this is an absurd story and a none issue if it's even true at all?

Please, don't feed the trolls.

You got me. I've been "trolled". Serves me right for staying up too late.

Not necessarily .. what if the President has found out that the responsible person was Richard Clarke .. who was working in the WH at the time.

The president may want to know what the WH liability is for Richard's actions.

Big deal. That happens all the time in case of a possible lawsuit - including BS lawsuits.

The Wilson flap is not going to sway the election.

The no bid contracts are common..They gave them to Halliburton under Clinton...because of their expertise to do the job...

Michael Moore will please the Bush haters...They won't vote for him anyway.
..
Oooo Kitty Kelly..That ought to really be a vote getter for Kerry.
Iraq isn't into continued meltdown...

The task force is only a matter of partisan bickering..no problem .The President's privilege is involved.

We are at the part in our history where only a man like Bush can lead this nation and fight terrorism...A flip flopper like Kerry would be a disaster.

Why do I have the sickening feeling that this might be the thing that gives us President Kerry?

Probably because it will get more play than the Abu Gharaib story.

Huh? Bush wouldn't have leaked anything to Novak. What's he need private counsel for?

Joe Wilson is akin to a little case of athlete's foot that just won't go away. It's not Bush's fault that this happened; it's one of those things that just results from him going barefoot in the locker room, so to speak.

Occasionally, consultations are necessary. :)

The CIA, I believe, asked for the investigation-- meaning they were upset about it. Ask Tenet "Why the investigation? Where's the scandal?" Plame had two jobs. One was her job which everyone could google. The other was the covert one. She'd go to these foreign countries as Plame the straight-laced bureaucrat. She'd become Plame the black operations agent when no one was looking. Her black op cover was blown by someone at the WH. That pissed Tenet off.

Assuming he is Novak's source, is it really an illegal leak to give someone information that is common knowledge within the beltway?

Plame had two jobs-- one that the beltway knew-- and one that they didn't: that she served as a black op agent while serving in her boring "google-able" job. People in foreign countries and in this country who associated with her had spotlights from foreign intelligence services shined on them once the news came out-- jeopardizing national security and the lives of these people. Tenet wasn't happy about this, understandably, and called for the investigation.
