But then it'll be reported that Saddam admitted to it under stress and thus should not be believed.

And if Saddam leads us to the WMD? We go there, find them, list them, what will they say then?

Circle the wagons, the natives are leaving the reservation.

Folks, being president of these United States automatically puts a KICK ME sign right on the tush. If they can't get you one way, they try another, but please realize, they will not stop trying. It seems to me to be a prudent thing to have discussions with outside counsel.

"This is yet another attempt to beat the dead horse. Good catch."

Speaking of dead horses......I'm reading Bill Sammon's book, "Misunderestimated", in which he chronicles the perils of Petah Arnett. And it reminded, what ever happened to Arnett? I don't see a thing about him anymore.....:-)

Chris, I always read your posts with interest. You have good insight;.....having said that, I don't mean to burst your bubble, but Condi Rice stepping in as Veep would seal GW's doom. Too many don't think like we do. Condi would be a marvelous choice, but a political disaster right now. Black, female, no prior elected office, single, she can get rattled, and black conservatives are villified to the 10th power. Too many good 'ole boys(guaranteed southern check marks in our favor) and ignorant last-second ad-watchers will not vote for the possibility that we are one errant pretzel away from a black woman as President. It's sad, I know. Clarence Thomas' achievments have only served to alienate him even more from women and minorities. Remember, we don't have the opinion makers (press) on our side. Condi could be CEO of IBM or Siemens with accolades, but she can not be elected Veep. Not a slam of you. I value your opinion. Change is a slow process. This is also why Hillary can not be elected President or V.P. Hillary also has too many other negatives for the collective masses to ever consider her seriously for running this nation. BTW, Your "Be seeing you, Chris" and the graphic on every post drives me crazy! STOP!!!!!!

Really, he showed Michael Moore's movie in a favorable light?

According to the latest economic report today, Americans bought increased numbers of automobiles. Most of them were the gas-guzzling truck type. I don't think Moore & Brokaw are going to convince the populace -- people enjoy their SUVs, trucks, and RVs.

The media is trying to overshadow the anticipated great economic/jobs news that is to be announced tomorrow.

Lawyers frighten people. Only criminals and the guilty retain lawyers right?

Memo to: President Elect GW Bush

Subject: Some advice

From: You know who

OK buddy, it's yours now, but if you don't mind a little advice, don't give Paul O'Neil that job at Treasury, get Dick what's his name off the terrorism gig at the White House, get Kofi to fire that damn big mouth Swede, Hans Blix and never trust the damn French. Oh, yeah, watch out for the democrats, they'll cut you.

If so, then imagine what will happen when Saddam admits to those links himself while on trial, in exchange for his life.

Yeah, well that visual will get you a BIG 'OL BUMP TO THE TOP.

Sheesh I go out for a walk on a cool evening and come back to almost 300 posts. A most amusing thread actually.

Yes. An innocent man doesn't consult lawyers. If he simply tells the truth, nothing bad will happen to him.

LOL.

What is the scenario where it is plausible that this could be an accurate report? I cannot believe that, under the premise of the story, President Bush could not locate an attorney without a reporter being informed. I do not believe the story.

Are we prepared to believe that those who want the president to lose are above disinformation? Not me.

I must say that my tagline specifically fits you and Miss Marple. Always sensible voices of reason, and pragmatic insight. I get so mad when freepers panic, and go bonkers whenever the criminal media throws their fodder out there to hurt George W. This may be another rope a dope that sets off the media on another frenzy so they look even more hateful and biased. I had great insight into what makes W tick by looking at W with that freaking umbrella. What a guy!!!!!!!

You mean you want the Wilsons to spend time at the Lompockey (min security Federal prison in Lompoc, CA)? Maybe they can get the same "luxury" cell where Milken stayed.

If I hadn't double checked the channel I could have sworn I was watching a promotional movie trailer.

The angle was the Weinsteins picking it up for distribution, and after playing the pretty long movie excerpt, Brokaw at least mentioned the Weinsteins donate to democrats. That was added at very tail end.

I just want someone to ask Plame and Wilson under oath if either or both of them was/were the Beeb's source for its yellowcake stories.
