Bingo Bongo Bump.
This was taken from that article you pointed us to.... In the West Bank thousands of Palestinians attended candlelight vigils to express their grief and solidarity with the victims of the attacks, and Palestinian school children observed five minutes of silence.
I don't believe this for a minute...
I have a truckdriver friend who was traveling thru one of the A-rab muzlim sections of Detroit right after the towers collapsed...He said block after block after block was jammed with Arabs, thousands upon thousands, jumping up and down, celebrating the murder of American citizens...
There have been scores, or hundreds of public condemnations by public officials and the news media accusing the A-rabs in America of being silent on this issue...I think the facts are quite clear...
I know. They don't get it.
Keep your eyes on the democratic lawyers, courts and judges.
Yes, bring on the Crusades III. It's time.
Bump! Great article, thanks for the ping abigail2 :-)
I'm sure all the sites listed on Google under Muslims against terrorism, et al, are all just made up. If you want to disbelieve them all, that's your choice.
It's a difficult problem. The trouble with the theory that there are only a few percent of bad eggs and the rest decent citizens is that murder, oathbreaking, violence, head cutting, and forcible conversion in the name of Allah go all the way back to Muhammed himself.
I agree that there seem to be many decent Muslims. But that may be that they just aren't really dedicated Muslims, just as many people who might check the Christian box in America are only nominally Christians.
They are lukewarm Muslims, perhaps. But there is still a fundamental problem with the religion itself, not with abusers of the religion.
There are always innocents in any cult or group. He is not saying punish all of them. But like the mansion gang, or Jim Jones, WE OWE THEM THE TRUTH!
I'm with you!
Bump!
"Sorry, Patrick and numerous others on this forum just don't understand the president's motivation in calling Islam a "religion of peace." "
Yes, the President is a pragmatist and diplomat. The reason he can call it a "religion of peace" (and not cross his fingers) is because Islam DOES want peace! You have to give their definition for peace though: Peace is when all the infidels are killed and only Islam is practiced on earth.
Yeah, right. More like this:
...In the West Bank thousands of Palestinians attended candlelight vigils to express their grief that anyone survived the attacks, and Palestinian school children observed five minutes of silence just before breaking out the party hats, noisemakers, and marking the event by celebrating the time-honored tradition of feeding Mecca Crisps to their beloved Islammo icon, the LuLu Hag
Freakin' sand goblins.
Great, but it is Europe and Japan that are dependent on this resource.
I don't see how it matters whether the majority of innocents are 'dedicated muslims' or not. The problem gets to be a 'kill them all' mentality, 'don't let any of them practice the religion' mentality....that's neither American nor Christian.
Okay, we end our dependence on Middle East oil, but we'd still be in a bind. Let's say we invent a cheap fuel, well what would happen? We'd sell it to other countries and pretty soon the Arabs wouldn't have customers. They wouldn't be happy. In fact, they'd be furious. They'd try to kill us. Ipso facto, we're back to square one with Muslim whackos itching to blow themselves and us to kingdom come. In other words, ending dependence on Middle East oil has short term benefits, but also opens up a Pandora's Box of problems. They have a laundry list of reasons why they hate us. It doesn't matter. As long as we exist, they'll foam at the mouth. We could turn ourselves inside out, paint ourselves blue, they'd still want to kill us. The very concept of America drives them nuts. Freedom and tyranny cannot coexist, esp. with computers and mass media, Hollywood, books, etc. And that's another thing. Someone posted an article some months ago about the lack of published material in the Middle East. It's symptomatic of what's going on over there. Few books, magazines, and newspapers. Can we all spell mind control?
I absolutely agree. In fact, the very choice of Iraq to continue the WOT was smart precisely because Iraq was not a Muslim theocracy. The president is not a dummy...and for those who may think Saudi or Iran should've been taken out first, just remember that Saudi is the home of the Islamic Faith, while Iran is the first Islamic Republic. Cries of the Crusades and "Remember Mecca and Meddina" would've echoed throughout the world...especially as the liberal media would've made a point to remind our Muslim enemy that our president is devout Christian, with dillusions of Godly grandeur.
This war is an extremely sensitive matter that unfortunately does require as much political skill as military might. With our diminshed forces through years of cutbacks...and a European community that is on edge because of their own Muslim populations, some discretion at this point is needed. Especially since we still need the external resource support from our European allies...and these other Muslim countries, who are at least providing invaluable intel.
As much as we want reform in the countries like Saudi and Iran, both of them are swaying on very precurious edge. Iran could move in our favor because of their own internal problems, as a democratic movement has taken hold. Saudi on the other hand, is having a different problem, where the so-called more moderate factions are in jeopardy of losing control to the Whahabbi hardliners. Too much perceived aggression could make both these situations worse for the USA...especially with a hostile media that would take joy in fanning the flames of discontent.
I've always believed Iraq was the perfect choice as it gives us leverage we never had in the Mid-East...without waging war on the entire region. Reading an old MERI report from one of the Saudi Interior Ministers indicates their concern for our presence in Iraq because of our access to Iraq's oil reserves...which could damage OPEC and Saudi's economy. Saudi may be a Muslim country, but the Royal Family needs US oil revenue to fund their lifestyles...and more importantly, protection from their own extremeists.
With US troops in Afghanistan...and now our presence in Iraq, Iran is literally feeling the pinch without the neccessity of war at this time. Our presence in Iraq also gives us a geographical advantage as the other terrorist haven (Syria) is now also being pinched...as Israel is situated on their other border. There are things being done under the guise of the war in Iraq that are effecting the entire region without waging a Holy War. Time will only tell if it will work out...but at this point we don't have the resources to wage war on mulitple nations. At least this gives us time to prepare...and perhaps, may even work without having to go to that last resort.
Hi TheSpottedOwl!
Says who? I don't recall us thinking similiarly along those lines in regards to the Japanese, or the Redcoats. Do the numbers increase the likelihood of the destruction of our "soul"??
Thank you savagesusie for clearing that up!
