Pelosi: I Showed 'Great Courage' Bashing Bush
NewsMax.com ^ | May 30, 2004 | Carl Limbacher

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said Sunday that it took "great courage" for her to bash President Bush two weeks ago as "an incompetent leader . . . who has no judgment, no experience and no knowledge of the subjects that he has to decide upon" - explaining that she leveled the incendiary criticism to help U.S. troops in Iraq.

"I made the statement that I did - and I think with great courage, if I might say about myself - because I am worried about the troops on the ground in Iraq," Pelosi told "Meet the Press."

"Believe me, I said this for the troops. I said this for the troops. [It was] a cry for help for the troops," she insisted.

"'I have a responsibility to the troops,' Pelosi claimed. 'We owe them at least a fair fight when they go into battle for us.'"

If she really felt any "responsibility to the troops", she would have kept her mouth shut and not diss the CINC.

And .. if she wants a "fair fight", she needs to stop helping the enemy.

This definitely needs a BARF ALERT

It has a barf alert: "Pelosi" in the title alone should be adequate, but "Pelosi" and "courage" in the same sentence is synonomous with "barf".

I see where you're coming from, but I think you missed my point. This has moved beyond mere politics some time ago. The problem is, the Librats are seeding greater animosity towards the war effort. This has led to more US troops being killed in action. The terrorists know they've been able to create a division within the ranks of America's ruling class of elected officials and they're playing on that division growing wider as the general election approches.

In some critical aspects, the terrorists have been successful in widening the gap between those patriots who realize a stay the course policy is best right now, versus those politico's who are using events to feed the anti-Bush propaganda effort.

Not to mention he gained great experience watching the great Ronald Reagan as President (while his dad was VP for 8 YEARS). Not to mention he gained even more great experience while his dad was President for 4 YEARS. Then he had 6 years as Governor of the largest state in the Union.

18 years of experience dealing with the dingy dems .. that has to count for something.

That's true .. I remember that!

Looks like we need to ask Rush to dig out some of those statements and remind the dems of what they said about "hate speech".

I don't think this is the terrorists doing. I think it is just a natural alliance between the internal hate America socialist left and the external terrorist who want to have their Middle East fifdom without the influence of the western civilization. The left initially hated 9-11 because it united the patriots in this country. but they have learned to use what tools they are given. In their quest for control here, they will give the terrorists anything they ask for, including withdrawl and hands off while the terrorist destablize the Middle East and Europe. Fortunatly we have an administration that understands this and has adopted a policy of elimination of terrorism. This same policy will defeat the left, and perhaps both will wind up on the dung heap of history.

"yanked both re-airings"

DARN! I was planning on watching it just to have a good laugh! These people are cracking up - just like Rush said they would .. "because you cannot sustain that level of hate".

Once again the "political skills" of Hillary Clinton are in full view. She overplays her hand EVERY TIME.

Can some Maryland FReepers educate us about Ms. Pelosi's background? I've heard that her father, and then her brother, both Tommy Dellasandro's, were mob-connected mayors of Baltimore, good old "Charm City." She somehow ended up in mob-controlled San Francisco? Who, exactly, IS she?
