House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said Sunday that it took "great courage" for her to bash President Bush two weeks ago as "an incompetent leader . . . who has no judgment, no experience and no knowledge of the subjects that he has to decide upon" - explaining that she leveled the incendiary criticism to help U.S. troops in Iraq.
"I made the statement that I did - and I think with great courage, if I might say about myself - because I am worried about the troops on the ground in Iraq," Pelosi told "Meet the Press."
"Believe me, I said this for the troops. I said this for the troops. [It was] a cry for help for the troops," she insisted.

Yes it's a great favor "for our troops" to sew doubt about our comittment. Every story like hers gives feedback to the enemy that we'll bug out if they just keep up the attack. And it makes ordinary Iraqis hesitant to ally with us for fear there'll be reprisals when we abandon them.

Does this woman think we will believe that W's goons are likely to work her over in an alley because she said what everyone in the Partisan Media has been saying all along?
Courage? What courage. At best(from a dems point of view) she was doing her job as a 'leading' rat.
Meet the Press is scheduled to be on again tonight hope they don't pull her performance.
A Purple Fart ribbon maybe & then only to commemorate the stink she caused.
What she really needs, though.
...is a good swift kick in the ass.
nancy pelosi would better serve the troops by supporting our president and commander in chief. dried up old prune that she is, she needs to just shut up if she can't do that.
BTW, are you just a fan or the real deal Carl/NewsMax?
To be a fool and be oblivious to being a fool, is being a democrat.
As long as liberal twits like Nancy Pelosi continue to attack the policy of the Bush administration, the further the war effort will be undermined, the longer the conflict in Iraq will last and the more US troops will be killed. The terrorists are feeding off the division that exists between the pro-Bush and anti-Bush forces. It's time Democrats placed patriotism ahead of politics. Lead, follow or get the hell out of the way.
Your right about real men not needing chunks of government metal on their chests to be heros. I have heard Ollie North speak of many in the recent months. One that I didn't catch his name was a Navy Corpman who had three Purple Hearts with one wound that would have taken him home and he refused to go because he said he needed to stay to help take care of "His" Marines. God Bless these real HEROS!
Nancy Pelosi does act like a Miss Hitlery wannabe - right up to the shedding of angry tears. Miss Hitlery would never get angry enough to CRY. Pelosi blew it. Dean, Kennedy, Kerry, and Gore shriek. Pelosi cries. And they try to say W has a problem delivering a message - just another item on the long list of projections by the shallow, simple-minded, rude, loud-mouthed liberals.
Yeah, sure, Nancy.
You feel a responsibility to OUR troops just like Tokyo Rose and Axis Sally felt responsibility to our troops in WW2.
Hardly...
Nancy Pelosi = Cunning Stunt
"I made the statement that I did - and I think with great courage, if I might say about myself - because I am worried about the troops on the ground in Iraq," Pelosi told "Meet the Press."
If it took such great courage for her to make the statements critical of Bush why didn't she come to the defense of Pete Stark when he showed similar courage leaving the voicemail critical of the letter writer defending Bush's leadership?
Can you say "Pat Schroeder?"
whore on a whore
Please, don't remind me. Thank God she retired.
I can see her in the bunny suit now.
