Well, if you ask me, the man who did this is an embarrassment to men everywhere . . . If he can't do more damage to her ugly snout than that with one punch.

Excellent research in post 137, kcvl! I think RGSpincich hit the nail right on the head in 136. Can't wait to hear the outcome of the police investigation, assuming she doesn't call it off.

Here's a little something I've been keeping to myself on this thread. Until now. I know Guy Colwell. He doesn't like to be used. I also know a number of the artists he's worked and exhibited with. While almost none of them share my politics, I get along with them. One is a close friend.

Let's keep researching little Ms. Haigh Capobianco. I think that I (and my trusty little printer) have an opportunity to change the course of local history in a modest way. :-)

Photos of gallery closing. I wonder why she put newspaper on her windows and what happend to all the "art" that was displayed in there. Has anyone checked to see if it is still there?

Whoever owns the building has the tax bill sent to San Rafael.

What a koinkadink! My attorney sister lives in San Rafael, not far from the Marin Civic Center, which host the court house and hall of records. I visit there quite often.

If I had art in her gallery I would certainly check to see if it was still there. I wouldn't trust her. Why does she need newspaper on her gallery windows if she was just going to close it? Did she call the people who had art displayed there to have them remove it before she closed the gallery? It doesn't look like anything is left in the building. What happened to the art? It seems strange to me.

For someone so young it seems she has made a lot of news which much of it is posted on the Internet. She doesn't sound very trustworthy to me. Why wouldn't she tell her family if she had been molested by more than one priest? Why would she still associate with them after being molested? Sorry but I wouldn't go near one of them again, ever! They wouldn't have a chance at a second try unless I wanted it to happen. I don't care how old she was it just doesn't compute with me.

She sounds like a professional "victim".

I don't know for sure what happened to the art but that looks like the reflection of a U-Hual in the front door. Wonder if she got those suckers to pass the hat for her.

And I don't see her or the U-Hual when the crowd is there. And the place is locked up. And that newspaper sure does cover that window well.

Does it look to you like those guys with the hats are scratching their heads and saying "I thought Lori was going to be here..."?

RGS: There is no question in my mind that she would never pass up an opportunity to run a scam if she thought she could pull it off. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if there's some sort of fund-raising effort going on.

kcvl: Here in the bay area, it's common to put newspaper or some other covering over the windows of a closed shop that's being vacated. My guess is that if the U-Haul is hers, it will be taking her furnishings and fixtures -- possibly some or all of the art as well, but I doubt she'll be absconding with any of it. She's drummed up just the sympathy and public display she wanted and to burn the artists would be, shall we say, counter-productive at this point. If she's transporting the art, it's most likely to store it safely while the shop is "under attack." In that case, the artists will make arrangements for its disposition.

Sorry, I posted before looking at your other questions.

She's roughly 40 years old. Not so young. And I agree with you that she milks the "victim" thing like she's been at it for a long time. I doubt she's done much, if any, jail time. When she settled out with Trew for the $100K, he probably agreed not to pursue criminal charges against her.

She was trying to create her 15 minutes of fame and succeeded. Question is, will she create buyers for her work with the negative press she got from this? I would think so.

What's she got going on her nose?

Did she sniff paint?
Is that AIDS?
Was that left over from a brain hemerage from last month?
