I'd like to see that! Can you imagine the libs over there with their outcrys of 'jack-booted thugs' if the FBI tried to investigate?
The beauty of it all is that, since this is high profile, Ashcroft himself would be giving the go-ahead to investigate the alledged violation of her civil rights.
SF leftists probably hate John Ashcroft even more than they hate George Bush.
[first-hand account of rally here: Outrage in North Beach. Seems Lori and the artist acted pretty weird.]

Maybe she got drunk one night and fell, and because her arm was out of action, she couldn't break her fall and landed on her face.
Then she came up with her story to get sympathy, and get out of her lease....win, win.
Thanks, vikingchick. Strange account, but then these are strange folks. None of them seemed to be on the same page, huh? Haven't seen Guy in a couple years -- looks like he's put on quite a bit of weight.
They sound like they were in a hurry. Wonder if she planned to take more but the crowd discouraged her. That truck wasn't even a tenth filled and I don't think Guy secured his paintings. They probably got tossed around in the back of the truck and destroyed.
Can't wait for the story line on that.
ART: Supervisor Aaron Peskin introduced a resolution condemning recent attacks on the Capobianco Gallery in North Beach but backed off on a plan to hang the controversial "Abuse" painting at City Hall after the artist rejected the idea. Capobianco owner Lori Haigh says she has been physically attacked many times since displaying the artwork, which depicts U.S. soldiers torturing Iraqi prisoners.

I guess Pestkin forgot to run his little idea by the artist before he started grandstanding. Oops! ("Psst, over here, Aaron. Artists pay their bills by exhibiting their work where it will sell. Just a pointer.")
LOL! I wonder if this is the end of the story. The SF Comical will probably let it drop now. At least we might have stopped her from pulling another con in the future.
It's been 2 weeks since the alleged attack and still no police sketch released to the newsies. I think the police saw the same inconsistencies we saw and have dropped their investigation -- not that it will stop the left from continuing to hold her up as a martyr to "artistic expression."
I used to kickbox.
I got kicked in the eyebrow once, split my brow open, 6 stitches to close.
Swelling went down in a week and a half, but the eye color was still there for almost 3.
I forgot the sequence, it went from bright purple to green, then reddish or bluish to fade as the blood drained.
I was much worse than her in color and swelling, that is for sure, but I see no swelling on her at all, my right eye was almost shut for a couple days.
Her color does not disqualify it to me though, if she was hit in the cheek area of the eye socket, there would not be the swelling so much as the color. Her color does NOT look like makeup.
I think the differnce is that she has no broken skin wound that would cause more swelling, simple impact would leave that at the minimum. The other difference between her and me, is my injury was on the brow, a sharper edge to wound, more damage. Hers is DEFINITELY not in the brow, she would look much worse, even if self inflicted.
Tells me if she was hit by someone else, it was only once or twice and no broken skin. Or...self inflicted! She stopped when it hurt! :)
KEEP HOAX ALIVE BUMP!!
