Fraud on Every Front! (Open Borders Facilitate Terror)
NewsMax ^ | May 28, 2004 | George Putnam

Posted on 05/29/2004 1:50:09 AM PDT by NewRomeTacitus

It is this reporter's opinion that we are now receiving credible intelligence that al Qaeda is close to making good on its vow to strike American soil again.

Attorney General John Ashcroft and FBI Director Robert Mueller are pointing to possible attacks during the summer months. The two top government officials are now launching a manhunt for these seven with at the least terrorist leanings. This comes on the heels of a flood of chatter indicating al Qaeda is about to go to work again.

A day before this public news conference, I received a report from Scott Wheeler of CNS News. Scott told me of an Iranian man convicted of drug trafficking, also suspected of money laundering and smuggling people from Iraq, Iran, Syria, and Jordan into the U.S.

According to federal court documents, Mehrzad Arbane told a former associate-turned-government informant, in October of 2001, that he "may have smuggled two of the hijackers who flew the planes into the towers in New York on Sept. 11, 2001."

As of this moment I have seen no report - printed or on television and radio - to that effect. However, all of this lack of communication is not surprising. Since last January's announcement by the president of a new immigration reform policy, our porous borders have further exploded. As this is written, anywhere from 5,000 to 7,000 individuals with no identity or backgrounds will cross our borders. This is an invasion - an unarmed invasion.

Why should we be so shocked that the Attorney General and the chief of the FBI are searching for seven individuals within our borders? U.S. officials lay it on the line. They say their new intelligence, deemed highly credible, indicates al Qaeda or other terrorists are preparing to strike hard - preparing to launch a major attack this summer.

But there are small evidences of hope...

• Congressman John Culberson, R-Texas, is putting forth legislation that would cut off the paycheck of any public official who does not carry out his sworn oath of office on the immigration front.

• Congressman Virgil Goode of Virginia put forth House Resolution 4200 that would place soldiers along the nation's northern and southern borders. However, there is opposition and lack of support.

• Congressman Tom Tancredo, R-Colo., put forth an amendment to require state agencies to ask for proof of legal residency from anyone receiving non-emergency services that would include everything from a business license to subsidized vaccinations for poor children.

But the frightening statistics continue. Since 1992, over one million persons annually have been intercepted, attempting to illegally enter the U.S. and the U.S. border patrol estimates that for every individual caught on the borders, five to seven cross successfully.

And still the president has proposed amnesty - that's what it is! - for the estimated millions who disregard our laws. One must ask who's writing U.S. immigration policy. Is it the global multi-national corporations?

Recently Frosty Wooldridge, who has led the fight against the illegal invasion, whose next book, "Immigration's Unarmed Invasion: Deadly Consequences" (coming in June), has called my attention to a remarkable book by John W. Slagle, "Illegal Entries," in which he tells of his years of experience with the U.S. border patrol.

Mr. Slagle warns of the increase of illegal aliens from Middle Eastern countries as well as other regions that support terrorism - illegal aliens from Lebanon, Afghanistan and Iran who have used the Mexican embassy in those countries as a gateway into the U.S.

Slagle tells of Mexican entry visas (valid for 30 days) purchased at a price up to $5,000 and once in Mexico, terrorists hire smugglers for transportation onto U.S. soil.

Slagle, among other frightening statements, says this, "Many drug shipments are escorted or guarded by Mexican authorities. Narcotics organizations pay millions of dollars in bribes to corrupt Mexican military officers who command 'anti-drug troops' along the border as well as police agencies. The bribery system in Mexico has yet to be resolved by Washington or Mexico's President Fox.

Frosty Wooldridge, in his book, and John Slagle, in "Illegal Entries," do a remarkable patriotic service to each and every one of us.

"America's downfall," Slagle writes, "began with the surreptitious passing by Ted Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson's 1965 Immigration Reform Act. This little known document was not voted on or asked for by American citizens. It opened the floodgates to one million immigrants annually.

"Previously, only 178,000 annually were allowed. Today, 60 million immigrants later and rising like a dangerous tidal wave, they crash upon our shores without pause. Where we were once a stable population, we are now the fastest growing country behind China and India."

Bush's guest worker amnesty program is encouraging millions around the world to come to America illegally as we sink further into a third world momentum. America's dream is fast becoming an American nightmare.

The issue of illegal immigration is not a matter of race; it is not a matter of creed or color. This is a matter of national security - both to the public safety and our economic safety. Tragically between Kerry and Bush, there is little difference on open borders and cooperation with Mexico's policies; between the two parties, there isn't a dime's worth of difference on this grave national security priority. Ronald Reagan said it best: "A nation that cannot control its borders is not a nation." Where will we be five years from today?

The old fellow points out why we can't focus on specific problems at the expense of others for the sake of political expedience. If or when the next horrible terrorist attack happens thank Ted Kennedy for making it so easy for them.

You know you're in trouble when 'some' of the people on your own side, don't know more than this poor addled nincompoop.

Since January around 300 to 400 thousand illegal aliens have poured across our borders. The 5 to 7 thousand figure leads people to believe this isn't a very serious problem. The real figures would go a lot farther to express the real problem.

Why is it, these folks can't get a fact straight about an issue as important as this.

For the record, two to three thousand more illegal aliens cross our borders every day. Yes EVERY G.. D..... DAY!

Where did this guy think the ten million new illegals came from in 2000? That was at least 1 million new illegals each year since 1990. Now, how many come over in four months? It sure isn't 5-7 thousand.

Give me a friggen break!!!!!

Ted Kennedy's fault? What about the AgJobs program proposed by the president? You dont think this is causing illegals to come over in droves hoping for some sort of amnesty? Senate Majority Leader Frist has said he would bring AgJobs to a vote with 60 cosponsors. Well, there are 60, so let them bring it up. IMO it will not be brought up before the election cause it is not popular with the conservative core and if signed, Bush will loose support, possibly the election.

True, he could have used a clearer reference, but I wouldn't write him off as a nincompoop because of it. I think he does well for an 87-year old. In this battle to regain control of our own country I'll take any ally in the press I can get providing they're not stooping to purposeful deception (NY Times,etc.).

Big picture. Ted not only crippled immigration policy with the "Reform" of 1965, he's made it his personal business to be the primary agent for open immigration his entire career. Too many flooding in from the south? Ted's idea of a solution was to implement the visa lottery that brought in multiple thousands from many fine Islamic countries.

Recently he actually proposed changes to how the government officially classifies aliens. That's right, all we have to do is redefine what an illegal immigrant is so the public will shut up about it (that didn't fly...this time). Over the years he's pushed amendments, strong armed opponents, killed or mangled bills in committee and pulled every other trick an evil senator can to to insure this immigration mess is just what it is today: senselessly out of control.

Members of both parties have mismanaged this situation but Evil Ted has been purposely wreaking chaos for forty years.

we are now receiving credible intelligence

If they believe there are credible threats against the American people and the attacks may happen soon, then you have to wonder their motives for leaving the borders so wide open. They were all set to fingerprint everyone coming through the border check points, make sure they match their identification -- and that sounds logical enough but the government of Mexico ordered them to stop that --- so they did.

Totally insane. It's almost as if the U.S. government has put out a welcome mat for the terrorists (or perhaps they'd prefer a prayer rug). With the direst need to secure the border, unprecedented technological capability, military personnel we can pull from places we shouldn't be and the responsibility of protecting our sovereignty and citizens, the President rolls over for a corrupt soft-drink executive like a cheap TJ floozy.

But we're the ones ending up with the clap.

Subject: The end is near!

We all know Dick Lamm as the former Governor of Colorado. In that context his thoughts are particularly poignant.

Last week there was an immigration-overpopulation conference in Washington, DC, filled to capacity by many of American's finest minds and leaders. A brilliant college professor named Victor Hansen Davis talked about his latest book, "Mexifornia," explaining how immigration - both legal and illegal - was destroying the entire state of California. He said it would march across the country until it destroyed all vestiges of The American Dream.

Moments later, former Colorado Governor Richard D. Lamm stood up and gave a stunning speech on how to destroy America. The audience sat spellbound as he described eight methods for the destruction of the United States.

He said, "If you believe that America is too smug, too self-satisfied, too rich, then let's destroy America. It is not that hard to do. No nation in history has survived the ravages of time. Arnold Toynbee observed that all great civilizations rise and fall and that 'An autopsy of history would show that all great nations commit suicide.'"

"Here is how they do it," Lamm said: "Turn America into a bilingual or multi-lingual and bi-cultural country. History shows that no nation can survive the tension, conflict, and antagonism of two or more competing languages and cultures. It is a blessing for an individual to be bilingual; however, it is a curse for a society to be bilingual.

"The historical scholar Seymour Lipset put it this way: The histories of bilingual and bi-cultural societies that do not assimilate are histories of turmoil, tension, and tragedy.' Canada, Belgium, Malyasia, Lebanon all face crises of national existence in which minorities press for autonomy, if not independence. Pakistan and Cyprus have divided. Nigeria suppressed an ethnic rebellion. France faces difficulties with Basques, Bretons, and Corsicans."

Lamm went on: "Invent 'multi-culturalism' and encourage immigrants to maintain their culture. I would make it an article of belief that all cultures are equal. That there are no cultural differences. I would make it an article of faith that the Black and Hispanic dropout rates are due to prejudice and discrimination by the majority. Every other explanation is out of bounds.

"We could make the United States an 'Hispanic Quebec' without much effort. The key is to celebrate diversity rather than unity. As Benjamin Schwarz said in the Atlantic Monthly recently: 'The apparent success of our own multi-ethnic and multi-cultural experiment might have been achieved not by tolerance but by hegemony. Without the dominance that once dictated ethnocentrically and what it meant to be an American, we are left with only tolerance and pluralism to hold us together.'

Lamm said, "I would encourage all immigrants to keep their own language and culture. I would replace the melting pot metaphor with the salad bowl metaphor. It is important to ensure that we have various cultural sub-groups living in America reinforcing their differences rather than as Americans, emphasizing their similarities."

"Fourth, I would make our fastest growing demographic group the least educated. I would add a second underclass, unassimilated, undereducated, and antagonistic to our population. I would have this second underclass have a 50% dropout rate from high school."

"My fifth point for destroying America would be to get big foundations and business to give these efforts lots of money. I would invest in ethnic identity, and I would establish the cult of 'Victimology.' I would get all minorities to think their lack of success was the fault of the majority. I would start a grievance industry blaming all minority failure on the majority population."

"My sixth plan for America's downfall would include dual citizenship and promote divided loyalties. I would celebrate diversity over unity. I would stress differences rather than similarities. Diverse people worldwide are mostly engaged in hating each other - that is, when they are not killing each other."

"A diverse, peaceful, or stable society is against most historical precedent. People undervalue the unity it takes to keep a nation together. Look at the ancient Greeks. The Greeks believed that they belonged to the same race; they possessed a common language and literature; and they worshipped the same gods. All Greece took part in the Olympic games. A common enemy Persia threatened their liberty. Yet all these bonds were not strong enough to over come two factors: local patriotism and geographical conditions that nurtured political divisions. Greece fell. "E. Pluribus Unim"

From many, one. In that historical reality, if we put the emphasis on the 'pluribus' instead of the 'unum,' we can balkanize America as surely as Kosovo."

"Next to last, I would place all subjects off limits ~ make it taboo to talk about anything against the cult of 'diversity.' I would find a word similar to 'heretic' in the 16th century - that stopped discussion and paralyzed thinking. Words like 'racist' or 'zenophobe' halt discussion and debate."

"Having made America a bilingual/ bicultural country, having established multi-culturism, having the large foundations fund the doctrine of 'Victimology,' I would next make it impossible to enforce our immigration laws. I would develop a mantra: That because immigration has been good for America, it must always be good. I would make every individual immigrant sympatric and ignore the cumulative impact of millions of them."

In the last minute of his speech, Governor Lamm wiped his brow. The profound silence followed. Finally he said, "Lastly, I would censor Victor Hanson Davis's book Mexifornia. His book is dangerous. It exposes the plan to destroy America. If you feel America deserves to be destroyed, don't read that book."

There was no applause. A chilling fear quietly rose like an ominous cloud above every attendee at the conference. Every American in that room knew that everything Lamm enumerated was proceeding methodically, quietly, darkly, yet pervasively across the United States today. Every discussion is being suppressed. Over 100 languages are ripping the foundation of our educational system and national cohesiveness. Barbaric cultures that practice female genital mutilation are growing as we elebrate 'diversity.'

American jobs are vanishing into the Third World as corporations create a Third World in America - take note of California and other states - to date, ten million illegal aliens and growing fast. It is reminiscent of George Orwell's book "1984" In that story, three slogans are engraved in the Ministry of Truth building: "War is peace," "Freedom is slavery," and "Ignorance is strength."

Governor Lamm, walked back to his seat. It dawned on everyone at the conference that our nation and the future of this great democracy is deeply in trouble and worsening fast. If we don't get this immigration monster stopped within three years, it will rage like a California wildfire and destroy everything in its path, especially The American Dream.

My questions to anyone who read all of Lamms words is; Are you supporting a politician who is promoting any of these tactics? Why?

Do you realize you are helping to destroy America?

We need to tell the RNC that we demand a person who isn't leading us down the path to self destruction. Kerry and Bush both have that trail in mind.

IMO, when the author says, "As this is written...", what he means to say is, in the time it took to him write this article, 5,000 to 7,000 more illegal aliens have entered the country.

I agree, he could have been a little more clear.

The point is all this talk of immigration acts of 1965 and other foolish legislation, prior to 9/11, is purely academic.

After 9/11, our porous borders and the danger the American people are in, because our borders remain wide open, became Bush's responsibility, 100%.

Bush had every justification in the world and the support of nearly 100% of the population of the United States, legally in our country, to secure our borders by whatever means he deemed necessary.

He did less than nothing! He replaced the open borders, pro-illegal immigration, Libertarian, he originally put in charge of the Dept. of Immigration, with a worthless, know-nothing, Hispanic, political hack of a Cuban banker.

Bush took 100% of the blame for any future terrorist attacks, within the borders of the United States, off the shoulders of Ted Kennedy and all the Liberal Democrats and put it squarely on his own and those of his fellow Liberal Republicans.

If there is another terrorist attack, within U.S. borders, Bush, Rove and the rest of the Republican Party are toast.

That conference was October 19, 2003. Google searching for it revealed that other meetings on immigration ocurred around that time in our capital. Unfortunately they were for facilitating transition for aliens, providing legal help for illegals and streamlining social services for invaders. Our tax dollars at work.

That's three books worth reading mentioned so far:

"Illegal Entries" by John Slagle
"Mexifornia" by Victor Hanson Davis
"Immigration's Unarmed Invasion: Deadly Consequences" by Frosty Woolridge (due out in June)

I'd like to add:
"Invasion" by Michelle Malkin
"The Death of the West" by Pat Buchanan (nothing anti-Semitic, just analysis based on current trends)

Anyone know of more that can be added to this list?

Surely the 1965 Immigration Reform Act can be repealed. Why doesn't someone get to work on that project, like the California recall of Gray Davis? The popularity of immigration reform could move the act quickly into oblivion if American citizens took up the cause.

If both major parties don't agree to fix the problem, it won't get fixed. One party alone can't do it; one party alone won't do it. Don't count on the Democrats to help.

Both articles are very good.

Maybe those of us against the invasion of millions of illegals have been using the wrong tactics. We have been on the defense for years not wanting our country destroyed. Gov, Lamm's speech basically uses reverse psychology which is an eye opener.

I didn't read the whole article and stoped when I saw the 5-7 thousand figure. I realized it appeared in Newsmax, but didn't note it was written by George Putnam.

I'm pretty sure George knows better than the 5-7 thousand figure since January. George is a good guy and wouldn't sandbag this figure on purpose.

If I'd have seen it was him, I would have gone easier. Over the years Putnam has spoken out on this issue perhaps as much or more than anyone else.

For the record, he called Bill Clinton for what he was prior to 1992. He and Ray Briem informed their viewers about these and other issues for decades. They were both excellent radio hosts.
