We just moved to Colorado from Kalifornia. Any Freepers in Chaffee County?
its callifornia-
lol
I've been in Colorado since 1975. Never heard of Chaffee County--but I don't get out much--ha, ha. Welcome to Colorado. Jim Robinson will be visiting this weekend up in Ft. Collins. I'm in the Denver area.
Buena Vista to be precise.
Have family up in Buena Vista, they've been there for decades. Super little town, the hot spot is the ice cream place. They caught Ted Bundy up there, btw. Super views of the Five Fingers. Enjoy, it's a great little town.
I'm jealous. You just got the best Representative there is.
We have a son in the army in Colorado. So we are very partial to that state. Sounds like Colorado just increased in good people ;) ..... We went to the Holy Cross Abbey Winery and had a great time. They are located in Canon City Colorado. Somehow in a skewed way, you are blessed for drinking lots. Not sure of the details, but we were VERY BLESSED by the time we left there..hahhahaaaahhaaa.a.
OH nice remember they pronounce it BEWNA vista not like the street in burbank by disney studios
shshshhsh do not mention westcliff to anyone.
Yes, it's just north of Hogjaw County.
How's the senate race shaping up?
FYI

Looked you up on Yahoo--you are about 140 miles from me. Think I did go through Buena Vista a few years ago. Seems like it was real scenic through that area. If you are interested in the Ft. Collins event this weekend, I can send you a link. It's far for me to go, but I may try to make it. It would be about 200 miles for you. Kind of far if you are just moving in. I believe there are some Colorado Springs FReepers that would probably be closer to you. Take care.
Don't forget the state law that says you can't wear aluminum underwear. It's on the books, I kid you not.
You know I'm mostly terrible about local events--pretty much just interested in national politics. Definitely not up on the latest--probably should be. There is Coors and Shaeffer on the R side and Salazar and some other guy on the D side. I feel like one of the dopes on Jay Leno's man on the street interviews right now.
Don't feel that way...you were honest enough to answer honestly...that means you are not a liberal democrat. So there are two Republican candidates and one RAT?
Welcome! Buena Vista is a great area.
Now .... Don't Kalifornicate Colorado.
A bumper sticker from the 80's. Needs a return engagement.
Congratulations and good luck!
I think there may be a couple of Rat candidates--Ken Salazar is the main one. I think he stands the best chance out of the Rats. He's the attorney general of the state. As for the good guys, Coors got in just recently. Shaeffer is probably a good guy from what I can determine but he doesn't have much name recognition. I think he used to be in our state legislature. Well at least, I do know who the Vice President of the U.S. is and how many stars are on the flag.
