President George Bush waves in Austin, May 22, 2004. Bush suffered minor abrasions after falling off a mountain bike while cycling on his Texas ranch on Saturday, the White House said. The 57-year-old Republican president had cycled 16 miles of a 17-mile afternoon bike course when he toppled over while riding downhill on what the White House described as soil loosened by recent rainfall. I hate the media. Instead of reporting the "training wheels" comment, this is what AP said at the end of their article:
Told about Bush's mishap, Kerry said, "I hope he's OK. I didn't know the president rode a bike."
They are such dishonest b*stards. So instead of covering Kerry's more newsworthy a**holish comments they report something that makes he seem like something close to a human being.

Controlling the White House is more important than the truth. Therefore, rule #1 is: Don't publish anything that might help President Bush's reelection.

This is just a perfect example of why you can't believe anything that comes out of the mainstream media. They will do whatever is necessary to get the story they want to convey across.
I guess I shouldn't be so surprised. They have not reported one postitive story from Iraq, but they have spent the past month rehashing the bad behavior of 7 soldiers.

I know. One of them out and out doesn't believe Kerry said it.
She should read the part of the report where it says, "in front of cameras".

why did they spend a year publishing everything about Clinton's Lewinsky episode- didn't seem like they were trying to protect the liberals and hurt the conservatives then They didn't publish everything, and they wouldn't have published anything, but an unknown guy named Drudge broke the story....
