This was great -- interesting, informative and believable, unlike the trash we get every day from Agence Jazeereuters Press.

I thought so too, and that is why I posted it

I don't normally listen to Rush (no radios allowed at the workplace), but I took an early lunch and heard the bulk of this interview on the truck radio. It was fascinating to hear.

Just listened to it on my Rush 24/7 subscription.
I learned more in ten minutes than 100,000 Reuters stories will ever tell you about Iraq.
I immediately emailed Rush and told him that he should interview a US soldier fighting in the war on terror and make it a regular weekly segment

"Well, when you talk to certain people that are in charge over there they're saying that they've not changed the rules of engagement at all, but I can tell you it's trickled down to the soldiers and a lot of it is due to media coverage. There's a reporter on every corner in Baghdad. You dang near have to be shot before you feel comfortable enough to shoot back, and it's a very serious, a very scary situation."Big Media gets in the way...

Get them out of there and lets clean this up.

Interesting...The G.I. says the war is for the oil and the Iraqi (Arab) population believe they are above any type of labor...This is also true in Saudi Arabia...
But he gives me the impression he's in it because it's the right thing to do...And of course, we can win if not for the politicians and media...

The best part was when he said, (paraphrased) "I was more afraid of the war while watching the news, then when I was in Iraq."

We were able to hear this in its entirety and I told my wife that this was the call of the year. The guy was so cool and his story came across so sincere that there was no doubt he had been there. I believe he was a squad or platoon leader...

This guy was amazing! And he has this country pegged. Rush treated him with tons of respect, and should have.
To: Libloather
Amazing....simply amazing...reading this interview with Rush reminds me of many conversations I've had with my son since his return from Iraq. He told me flat out that the military is being forced to fight this as a "Politically Correct" war- and it's costing lives- to say nothing of respect and credibility. Think about this for a minute. His division (101st) accomplished unheard of things for the city of Mosul...with schools, hospitals, teaching lessons in democracy, how to set up a city government...on and on and on. The ONLY time he saw the media was when there was trouble.
