According to today's Boston Herald, here is what the very first recipient of a Provincetown MA same-sex marriage license has to say about marriage:

"[Jonathan Yarbrough] says the concept of forever is 'overrated' and that he, as a bisexual, and [his partner Cody] Rogahn, who is gay, have chosen to enjoy an open marriage. `I think it's possible to love more than one person and have more than one partner, not in the polygamist sense,' he said. `In our case, it is, we have, an open marriage...'"

Place your bets on how long it will be before two men and a sheep will have the "civil right" to be married. I guess that's one way of getting your animal on your family health plan.

If they are married and not monogomous, doesn't that mean they are in an adulterous marriage?

Is adultery a punishable crime in MA?

I thought the whole point of marriage was monagomy. This is what people mean when they say homosexual marriage threatens the sanctity of marriage. I am begining to think that George Bush may will this year because of this issue.

Two people of the same sex engaging in sex is adulterous, no matter how the Mass. Supreme Court redefines marriage.

What's the point (other than blowing $25 on a piece of paper)?

An open marriage between gays?!?!? That would never happen between heterosexuals. Never!

It's pretty scarry thinking about children being adopted into these homes and being exposed to an endless parade of sexual deviants and disease. Herpes, AIDS, warts, syphliss, gonorrhea, chlamydia, hepatitis.............ugh makes me wanna puke.

Anybody with half a brain could see that this maneuver was to have someone elses employer pay for benefits for those that did not. Care for AIDS, hepatitis C and other "gay" diseases is forever and expensive and, after all, why should lifestyle changes be required if you can get treatment for "free"?

That's the point- make heterosex marriage worthless. Make it "just a piece of paper".

Marx said that to form the perfect communist/socialist state the "slavery of bourgoise marriage" had to be ended.

The point is to give a big F-U to every person who respects the institution of marriage.

Look for employers in MA and in states that recognize these "marriages" to terminate employee healthcare benefits...and then look for Kerry & Clinton to propose national healthcare.

By all means lets not discriminate against this fine family where children are concerned. Usher in some kiddies for these two (cough!) "moral" <cough!) individuals.

as a bisexual

Call me old fashioned, but I don't believe anybody is bi-sexual. You are either gay or straight.
