Marriage laws in other 49 states expected to be struck down. The only way to keep the sacred institution of marriage from being destroyed is demand that Congress pass the federal marriage amendment. Please join more than 1,304,883 who have already signed this petition. After you have signed it please forward it on to family and friends.

Please sign the nogaymarriage petition. It will be sent to Congress. There are already enough states that have banned same-sex marriage to ratify the Cons. Amendment. What is needed is 2/3 of the House and Senate and Bush's signature. Bush has asked Congrees to ratify the Amendment. This petition will put pressure on Congress to do so.

Unfortunatley there is NO WAY that you will get 2/3 of the Senate to ratify it.

There's no way you'll get a 2/3 majority, especially in the Senate. The House might be closer, but it won't get a 2/3 majority either. Not in this session.
This amendment is going to die, I'm afraid.

Call me crazy but I'd rather live in a country where the big news is what's happening in Massachusetts than a country where I'm ducking RPGs and veering around IEDs and praying that the shells aren't filled with sarin.
The daily bloodshed in Iraq puts gay marriage in perspective for me. Maybe I've gone libertarian without knowing it.

Unfortunately there is NO WAY that you will get 2/3 of the Senate to ratify it.I agree. Attempting to get a constitutional amendment is a waste of time and resources. Constitutional amendments are only for the benefit of the government, not for the "people".

all the more reason to bolster our majority and get Bush reelected.

The problem with gay marriage, my liberal-tarian friend is that it violates natural law. The courts are trying to play at being God. Nevertheless, the real God gave us the way He wants us to live and reproduce. It is extremely arrogant of the courts to even think that they can change nature. Would they order a fish to dance or a plant to bark? They can't do these things anymore than they could order that marriage be defined according to their orders.

Sure there is. Make it a campaign issue this fall and make the senators up for re-election state their positions on it. Then target the "pro homo" ones for defeat. If even a few go down, others might get the message.
If we don't do it, it's our own fault.

Actually, a couple of months back(3-4) it was reported that there was enough votes within the House, but it was about 5 to 7 votes away within the Senate. That is why pressure needs to be placed upon the Senate to ratify this Amendment.
We should all Call/e-mail our Senators & ask them to ratify the Amendment. As well, we should all call/e-mail as many as we can to sign this petition. At least doing these two things is better than doing nothing at all. You can be sure that the gay activists are doing all that they can.

Lol....Have you seen this "tie-in" to Kerry and Massachuetts Gay Marriage yet in the media? I haven't found it yet.
Talk about timing, this should sink Kerry's numbers big time.
