George Joulwan, former NATO supreme commander; former CIA Director Stansfield Turner.
I tried to watch them this morning. Really, I did.
They're just moronic.
What kind of trouble? (I hit the mute button)
" Army Maj. Gen. David Petraeus"
I believe it is now MG (P) David Petraeus
Yes, and earlier this week on Hannity and Holmes McCain told Sean that he will not be Kerry's VP--no, never. So if for whatever reason he flips and accepts, he's gonna get a lot of heat for his words this week. It will make him and Kerry look like a couple of Mexican jumpin' beans.
Hersh has said it was Rumsfield's frustration over all the red tape when we needed info from prisoners in the field(Afghanistan) that led to this prison abuse. He allowed looser restrictions...or some such...It created the climate..yada yada..(The Geneva conventions apply to uniformed soldiers is my understanding)...
I want some of the Senators to walk the Guantanamo cells and be showered with excrement and urine for day or two.
There's a thread on it...
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld and one of his top aides authorized the expansion of a secret program that permitted harsh interrogations of detained members of Al Qaeda, allowing these methods to be used against prisoners at the Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq, according to an article in The New Yorker. The article, by Seymour M. Hersh
Hair Plugs for Men must be next door to where they tape the Sunday shows. He has a standing appointment for right after his appearances.
Thanks again for starting the thread. :-)
C-Span is the training area of choice for seminar callers. When they all drone on about the same subject, using much the same words, you can be sure it's DNC talking points disseminated to a union shop, civil rights group or senior citizen's home in Palm Beach County.
"Senator Levin, 20 years from now, which do you think will have made more of an impact: the butchering of Nick Berg or the abuses at Abu Ghraib prison?
Time to see if Chris has some cojones!
Ii wouldn't matter. In Levin evil mind, Berg and the prison harassment are moral equivalents.
Sorry, Levin's...
I mean, of all the issues confronting us, can't they see we're dealing with criminals and thugs, not enemy soldiers?
This is all and only about "getting" Bush. If a democrat president employed these tactics, these same critics would have nothing but praise for it. They'd use my reasoning above. Getting an abortion, marrying their same-sex partners, and demonizing Republicans are far more important causes then preventing murder from terrorsits.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Sens. Joe Biden, D-Del., and John McCain, R-Ariz. = 2 RATS
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Sens. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., and Carl Levin, D-Mich. = maybe one sane voice + America-bashing idiot RAT
THIS WEEK (ABC): Secretary of State Colin Powell; King Abdullah II of Jordan. = 2 mealy-mouthed, say nothings
LATE EDITION (CNN) : Army Maj. Gen. David Petraeus; Sens. Joe Lieberman, D-Conn., and Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga.; presidential candidate Ralph Nader; Tim Russert, NBC News; Iraqi Governing Council member Adnan Pachachi; retired Gen. George Joulwan, former NATO supreme commander; former CIA Director Stansfield Turner.= none worth listening to except maybe Chambliss
Conclusion - take a walk on the beach instead!!
This is all and only about "getting" Bush.
Zakly..
The "get Bush crowd" will fabricate anything to chip away at this man's credibility.
They haven't been successful yet...
and they won't be with this crapola either.
A sterling idea. Don't have a beach handy, guess the woods will have to do :)
Sen Nelson was on After Hours last night. He said he had been to Guantanamo more than once - implying things were fine there.
I know..but some of the prisoners love to throw bodily fluids.
So sad.......so true!!!
