This is the exact copy the letter and a rough translation that has been sent to families throughout Iraq, including the Assyrians, telling them if they do not convert to Islam, they will be either raped, killed, kindapped, or beaten.

Well, just another little missionary tract from the "religion of peace." What's the problem?
What else would you expect from a bunch of murderous swine who are eaten up with fanaticism for a depraved concept?

I would rather read a Chick cartoon tract anytime.

Good point. A lot easier to make any sense of. The stilted language makes the writer sound as though he was a writer for some of the old monster comics.

And people wonder why Iran has such poor relations with the West. Could it be that they're trying to exterminate any last vestige of Christianity from the Mid-East? Weep for the land of Abraham.
P.S. When that 12th Imam finally shows up, is he going to bring Elvis with him? 'Cause that would really kick ass!

Pssst, this is in American "controlled" Iraq, NOT Iran.
To be fair though, it appears from the language they aren't demanding they actually convert, but rather that they wear the veil (and whatever "possessing the honorable teachings of Islam" is.
What kind of "honor" is it that threatens people with such crimes?

"From the Islamic troops of Al-Bader."
I suspect that is the same Al-Sader we keep hearing about. I doubt if he is too much longer for this world.

I don't know, it seems like almost all of these militias receive some kind of funding from the Iranian government. Even Zarqawi, who is putatively responsible for the assassination of Ayatollah Hakim, is supposedly being given safe haven in that country and limitless funds from Iranian coffers.
I don't understand why we would want to enter into negotiations with a country that butchered hundreds, if not thousands, of innocent civilians and political dissidents in Lebanon, Israel, Argentina, Germany, and countless nations throughout the civilized world.
It just doesn't make sense to me.

The Christians were permitted to co-exist under Saddam's regime. Now that he has been removed, the Islamic jihad will proceed against the Christians. They will convert or else. What a nice consequence of our "victory" over Saddam. It was predictable.

I have no idea if a person speaks Arabic if they basically can understand Persian, like a Spanish speaker can understand Portuguese.
But since this was written in Persian, it would only be logical that the letter came from Iran.

These must be moderate muslims. Usually the infidels are kidnapped, beaten, raped and killed.

Farsi and Arabic share a common script, but they can not understand each other. I work with an Iranian immigrant and do business with a computer shop owned by an Iranian. Both speak Farsi, but don't have a clue when it comes to Arabic.
The letter may have originated geographically in Iran. The contents may have been expressed in Farsi. The message content was originated by Islamic terrorists.

No doubt about that.

Actually, Farsi is more closely related to English than to Arabic -- it is one of the Indo-European languages, albeit written nowadays in the arabic script.
In the north the Kurds speak Kurdish which is another Indo-European language related to Irani. In the south Arabic would be the language of the common people but for millenia Farsi has been the language of the intellectuals and especially the language of the Shia clerics.
