The beheading of Nick Berg was the act of the demon possessed. The act of blood-thirsty terrorists. The act of radical Islamic jihadists. How dare his father blame the very men leading the war against such monsters.
"My son died for the sins of George Bush and Donald Rumsfeld," Michael Berg said Thursday in an interview with radio station KYW-AM. "This administration did this."
I grieve and pray for this man and his family. No one should have to suffer what they are suffering now. Hearing the news that your son has been butchered by terrorists is bad enough. Seeing and hearing the butchery on the Internet is more than any parent should have to bear. But Mr. Berg's outrage at the Bush administration is both misguided and offensive.

Heartwrenching; unfortunately, many have had to go through similar pains;
Yes but few bear the burden of their own politics being responsible for their child's beheading.
The father has no respect whatsoever in what his son believed in. Its disgusting that he turned his son's murder into a propoganda piece for his anti-Bush activities. What father would actually publicly come out and say "My son died for nothing"?
excellent article.
A father who puts ideology above anything else.
Dead (so to speak) on target.
When have you ever known a liberal to stand up and take responsibility for the results of their stands?
Over one million living and breathing human beings were slaughtered in South East Asia following our pusilanimous retreat from Vietnam.
Great article. At first, I couldn't place the name of the author, but once I read part of the article, I realized it was the author of The Last Jihad. BTW, I highly recommend this book.
Maybe Berg and Newdow were swimming in the same gene-pool, but I'd rather not speculate.
Its disgusting that he turned his son's murder into a propoganda piece for his anti-Bush activities.
To be fair, many of those who support Bush and the war in Iraq have also turned Berg's murder into a propaganda piece. Some even think it should be "compulsory viewing."
Michael Berg has the double burden of knowing that the US government had his son in protective custody until he himself raised a self-righteous Liberal stink, forcing the release of Nick into the waiting arms of his Islamofascist murderers.
He's a man in mourning, has to blame someone. I forgive him and pray for him and his family.
This is an excellent article. Thanks for posting it.
"Over one million living and breathing human beings were slaughtered in South East Asia following our

You make an excellent point.
When Kerry goes yapping on about alleged atrocities in Vietnam how about concern for the entire Vietnamese people abandoned to their Communist masters? Wasn't that an atrocity?
I guess liberals play the selective atrocity game.
I have no doubt Nick Berg is in heaven now. It's his parents who are suffering and we must pray for them. But there is no doubt who is responsible for their son's death: the mindless, faceless cowards hiding under their dishtowels who killed him.
Yes, they will be blaming America as they watch their own skin melt from the heat of the blast that takes their lives. Sickening, and treasonous in spirit if not under law.
Mr Berg is obviously a sick and diluted individual. Much like the DUmmies who were looking for conspiracies well before any individual at there site condemned it. This is the type of ideology we are up against both here in America and overseas. Forget the victim, blame others and refuse responsibility a very dangerous combination of thoughts that are hard to overcome even with the truth.
The father also said, "They have killed their friend". Something isn't kosher.
Why are there no riots or at least a picket line at his house over this? Where is the outrage?
