This seems to me one of the more reasonable bits of speculation I've seen on this thread. If Berg were CIA, and the terrorists knew it, the terrorists in all likelihood would have publicized that fact. They know that the Left, and the media, would then blame the USA for Berg's death. They would say that as a CIA operative, he was fair game.

He sounds leftwing in this story with all of the feel good help the world stuff. He may have been recruited by AQ and he thought as a Jew friend of Moussoui he was breaking down walls?? This has more twists than the Kennedy assassination?? His final timeline will be very interesting if anyone wants to speak ill of such a horrific death.

I had been praying for the hostage from Ohio, then the man from Macon, Miss escaped and I almost forgot about him...I do not know name...don't remember if he is military or civilian....however no news has been forthcoming of him lately. I am not concerned that Berg may not be the one who was beheaded unless they have DNA proof??? Which I would hope they did before the announcement, wouldn't you??

How positive are we that the person beheaded was Berg? As I said yesterday (and was called looney) Nick Berg may not be dead. The beheading may have been staged using another person.

How do we get past the change of appearance? Sure, Berg could have lost a lot of weight over there, but body structure will basically remain the same. Same with hair. DNA is the only way to go. This is getting too strange.

In the edited out part of the video, Berg says things obviously incriminating to those in the room.

But, I really don't want to think the guys a bad guy. I'd prefer to think he was a real spy and got caught. He might have even done the same things as your list, merely to establish his cover.

The only "real" spy I knew was a graduate of OU as well. Went to HS with him in Edmond OK. He studied Russian in the mid 70's.

Ya know, there also could be a simple, and most likely, explanation, though it will disappoint the tinfoilers. The international community in many universities isn't huge, especially when broken down into the regional/religious components. So it is quite possible that a very idealistic college student from a Jewish background decided to 'reach out' to muslim/M.E. students at OU, trying to 'bridge the barriers' by befriending some of them, perhaps those in his class, etc. If true, it wouldn't be surprising if he had interactions with Mousawi(sp) from other friends he made in that group, without being in on or knowing about Mousawi's terrorist connections.

That would fit into everything we learned so far, though not nearly as intriguing.

John Doe #2 is identified in the book The Third Terrorist. He is an ex-Republican Guard with a distinctive tatoo to the Salman Pak area. He was identified by many people (approx. 24) as being with McVeigh, including people who saw him get out of the Ryder truck second before the blast.

His name is Hussain Hashein Al –Hussain.

He worked at Logan International Airport ON 9/11 as a food handler, which is how some authorities believe the box cutters were gotten on board (via food transport).

Al-Hussain told 4 psychiatrists a year before 9/11 that if anything happened at that airport, he would be blamed.
